Can't wait to see results. Too bad the venue was so bad with such great competitors there. Hopefully next year they will listen to the paying customers and change venue. Or they may experience low attendance.

They messed up the results REALLY BAD for the cash prizes and I guess some time today they will have a few phone calls to make to fix their stupid mistakes.
Honestly this company was so horrible. They couldn'y even keep the floor cleared around the competition floor. Teams that had to perform at the end of the day had other cheer teams sitting right on the floor next to them as they performed.I saw cheerleaders that were resting their elbows on the downward slope part of the mat DURING performances.
The cash prizes results was not messed up it was simply a rumor. Come on now for those of you that know Eric do u honestly think he would let someone walk out of the competition with money that wasnt theres...no.

Agreed .. I cant wait to see results! Hopefully what california said is simply a rumor, that would be terrible if they actually messed up the cash prizes!
The results of the cash was messed up twice, he started with saying orange crush was in third when he really meant OC. What happen was when we got to the competition we were told the teams in our division complained that we were a large team and they were small teams. So they put us in a division of our own but forgot to place us in the standings. Standings are....
I didn't think it was quite THAT bad. Yea, kids were around the floor but only during about 3 or 4 teams before the end of the longest day of my life.... The warmup areas were really really great. They had about 6 different floors to warm up on and had TONS of time to do so. The schedule ran ahead of time and they had to stop so they could stay on track. I think the things I didn't like were the fact that there was no seating BUT if you looked to the side, there WAS room. People just CHOSE not to sit there. I would have rathered sit to the side than stand up top. But I am not known to be the sanest person around either......
I have been to a few competitions in the 7 years of cheer, and I have to say that they handleled the coaches and staff VERY VERY VERY well. We were very well fed and they made sure we had what we needed, when we needed it. I guess the spectators didn't see behind the scenes, but the kids had tons of time to warm up ( approx 7 - 8 different warm up areas and floors), the coaches were taken care of, the staff was given food and water (including the Pyramid staff!).... so it had it's ups and downs.
What California is refering to about the money is: Eric called 3rd place for the Super Six as Orange Crush and then corrected himself and said OC. I was very upset for Orange Crush. I really was. But it was a mistake. He spoke too quickly. What can you say. Sometimes that happens. If it were the other way around, I know we would have been upset too, but mistakes happen. To everyone. But I wouldn't expect to make phone calls and complain. He's human.
Everyone did so well. I wish I had final results for you, but I don't. By the time awards came around, I was DONE. I didn't even take pics of our kids when they won. My partner did. That's how tired I was. I guess that would be my other complaint. We didn't get to take pics of the kids when they won. And then we were shooed off the floor when we tried to get the backdrop in the photos. I had to take the winner shots in the hallway. That wasn't nice at all. Now I have lots of cropping to do.....

OC mom I am glad that cheerpros took great care of all the staff and coaches because I know that competitons can be very stressful to them . I am only speaking as a spectator. I had real trouble findng a seat even on the sides. I really enjoyed watching all your teams and I even looked for you when your teams went on.(I was looking for a women taking pictures) but I didn't see you. I as a spectator was miserable. I was hot, clausetrophobic (sp) and had a crappy view. I was able to watch a few silly fights over seating but other then that the veiw was still crappy. Did I mention I had to park my car in Tim-buc to. On the positive side I think I lost a pound from the long trec to the car.

I think the teams only walked out with that huge "photo -op check". The real checks will be mailed out.
yeahh it was definitely wayy too crowded. especially since they charged admission. it was a really long comp .. well fierce was definitely the loudest team there lol with their dads with pink hair and all the noise and pink things waving in the air. rc was loud too. i loveddddd cheer force's junior 5 team. i saw a video of it on youtube but watching it in person is just amazingg. and seeing kiara .. wowww. i guess the warmup area was okay but it was kinda weird being under the bleacher things. and then on that full size floor right before we went on, we had to go through with counts b/c the performing teams music was too loud but then we couldnt even hear our coach counting b/c of the music. they sure sped through the awards. it was getting late though.
does anyone know what happened to OC's Senior 2 team? were they there? they were on the schedule but i didnt see them .. and did spirit athletics senior 2 get a penalty or something? b/c i watched them and they were pretty good ..
i know the small senior 4 was a pretty tough division .. RC won that division with victory in 2nd. small senior 2 was 1st fierce; 2nd california flyers; 3rd scv (im pretty sure about those). large senior 2 was 1st victory; 2nd platinum; 3rd spirit athletics. sorry thats pretty much all i remember lol someone get some scores upp. they announced scores so fast i dont even know what the placings were. what do you guys think of the state champs jackets?
The venue was waaaaaay too small. For a while they were not letting people in due to the maximum capacity of the pyramid. I personally love competing at the pyramid, but it was just too small for the caliber of people and teams it was hosting. It was crowded, people were just standing around or sitting in aisles. Teams were sitting in the front of other teams performances, and some girls couldn't even watch their own teams perform, although this only happened towards the end. Things were mixed up and said wrong during the awards ceremony and I think it might have hurt some teams, coaches, and parents feelings. Yes, mistakes are allowed to be made, BUT, when you're reading a little piece of paper with final results on it, how hard can it be? Overall, there are always going to be pros and cons to a competition... thjis one had waaaay more pros than cons I'd have to say. It was well ran overall.
The staff was really nice. The announcer was great. All the divisions, for the most part, were full of competition. People were very nice. There were so many warm up areas underneath EVERY bleacher, and they all gave you plenty of time to warm up. They took care of the coaching staff of each program, with a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner and unlimited drinks throughout the whole day. There was a lounge area for the coaching staff, private restroom.. it was very personal, kind of like home ... easy to like and want to go back to. They also gave out so many "trinkets" to competitors. Jackets for first place winners, medals, trophies, tee shirts, and cash prizes. The scoresheets were full of details from each and every judge, with a final score from each judge, and mini scores within that score of (jumps, tumbling, presence...etc). They also told you things that they liked and things you needed to clean up, and/or work on. This really made me happy because most judges don't take the time to write down what they really think of your routine, they just give you a score and move the heak on. It was nice to know that they cared, even at the end of the day. :]
Overall, it was a good competition, there would be minor changes I would make, personally, but I do not think that Eric will just pass those things over and not look at them again, when planning for next years State competition. He did a good job overall... and held a very fair competition. Just next time, somewhere a little bigger!!!
And if they did mess up on cash prize announcements, then they should do what they woud do if they messed up announcing first and second places. They would give both teams a first place trophy and call it a tie. So let both teams, have 3 grand. It seems only fair. It they did mess up announcing then they should have never let the coaching staff of those teams leave without telling them first. Because that sucks for CF juniors, because they never got the moment of glory of winning three grand. And FIERCE for given the wrong amount. And OC, because that means they won nothing.
That's it!!!

Well, I'll tell you this much, if that's the case, and I don't know 'cause I haven't been back in to the gym,... our director and owner won't be making a stink. I know the kids will be a little disappointed but hey, they didn't win it. Oh well. We will work harder and harder at it!!! CheerForce was great and they deserved everything they got!!!! Thanks for the support though! At least we made the top 6!!!!! Yay!!!!!
My daughter just said, "Well, they announced Orange Crush and WE felt bad when it was a mistake. I'm sure CheerForce feels bad too. It's not THEIR fault that the mistake was made! At least we made top 6!"
So it's ok. We shall live, I promise! I'm just glad it was a fun day!!!! And OC did real well.
Oh yea, our Senior Blue (Senior Level 2) team wasn't there because of the flu that is rampant on their team. They missed their last practice cause so many girls were out, so they just pulled out. Everyone is doing better though... We have extra competitions to make up for just these instances. Thanks for asking! It was kind of you!

I thought this comp was so much fun! It was so much fun too see all of our local teams in one place! & our sister team orange crush! You guys did amazing!! Yes, it was a little crowded, but it was still a really good competition!! Towards the end, the girls just were waiting for awards, because they had no where else to go.. they sat around the floor... it wasnt that big of a deal, yea if it was your team to go on, then people should move out of the front, but i know when i competed last year it was much more exciting having people right next to the floor watching, so i know it pumped up the last teams that went!! It was a long day, but cheer days are always fun, so its ok! All of the teams did soo good! I love the Crazy Fierce Dads! haha, they are too crazy! Good Job to all the teams!
