I can't say that I am surprised at small attendance at USA competitions. I've read many complaints in the past about their regional competitions and it seems over the past several years attendance has been way down.

I've noticed that as well. I have no idea why.. I'm just a mom/spectator. Can anyone shed some light on the subject?

I know our teams aren't doing 1 usa event this year because of prior complaints.  I think it's the first year that we haven't done a usa event.  It's too bad, but I can't say I miss them.  But it's a real bummer when the comps are poorly attended.  I enjoy the friendly competition, multi groups in each division, more excitement and motivation for the kids, and for the parents to show support!  Maybe even a little suspense during awards?

We are doing a USA event this year for the first time in 3 years. (we're only 4 years old, but whatever) Anyway, we'll see how that one goes.....

I know this is bad to say but.... I enjoyed the elbow room!  At GSSA San Jose you couldn't even breath.  And how cute were the kids from Davis with the snacks... nothing like personal snack service.

My daughter had some great competition in her division, but is is sad when you go and end up compeating alone.

OH WELL.... Great Job to ALL the teams!

i've never heard anything bad about USA competitions . i went to the so cal classic and it was my first cheer competition so i guess i can't compare it to others but it seemed okay to me. the arena was pretty nice too. the only thing that kinda bothered me was the warm up area b/c there wasnt enough room (mats/spring floors). but the actual warmup room was hugee and there was tons of empty space with absolutely nothing.

I think the warmup areas are one of the major issues coaches and owners have had about USA.

Don't hold your breathe if you are waiting for USA to post results. That takes weeks. You will have to "depend on the kindess of strangers" that attended the comp and wrote down the results and post them on a message board. But sounds like no one did that. Sorry I wasn't in attendance or I would have provided the results already.

thanks so much! I cant believe what a small turnout it was. Looks like the "more well known" teams competed against eachother; roseville, CO, Sac. But other than that the teams were limited to competition. I'm interested to see who All Star Elite is? To be honest, I'm just wondering how they look because Ive seen Roseville's Senior routine and they have got a lot of difficulty, especially that pyramid! Also, Sac's senior 4 team was pretty good last year.. But i saw that all star elite won. Did any of the odyssey parents have any views or maybe people from another gym?
