Happy New Year! Time to start looking at the next Worlds Bids. This weekend there were two competitions for bids:


Mardi Gras Nationals in New Orleans giving 4 bids: 1 Paid, 2 At Large, and 1 Int'l At Large.


Junior Int'l Coed L5


-Flip Factory


Int'l Open (All Girl?)


-Oklahoma Twisters


Senior Large Limited Coed


-Premier Athletics


-Louisiana Cheer Force


-Oklahoma Twisters


-Storm


Nations Best Championship in Topeka Kansas giving 5 bids: 2 Partially Paid, 2 At Large, and 1 Int'l At large.

-Nebraska All-Star Tigers


Junior Int'l Coed L5


-Cheer Eclipse Galaxy


Large Senior L5


-Cheer Eclipse Super Novas

I heard Premier Cats Senior Co-ed from Nashville received paid bid at Mardi Gras.

Apparently Cheer LegendZ SMALL COED received a bid from Nations Best. They didn't indicate if it was a paid bid.

I also surf ProX. Not always easy to find, but I found two messages which indicated the results I noted. I'm hoping Monday we will get more info. Hopefully one of the teams will get on one of the message boards and give us a detailed update.

Hee Hee! That isn't too far from the truth for the past 6 weeks OC Mom. I've been out of work on medical leave. But alas...I'm starting 2007 back in the office. So I'm going to rely on the kindness of strangers to do some of the research to make sure we are kept up on all those Worlds bids coming up.

Mardi Gras Nationals Bid Results:


Paid Bid: Premier Athletics (Limited Coed)


At Large Bids: Oklahoma Twisters (Limited Coed) and Storm (Limited Coed) 


Int'l Bid: I have not been able to find out who got the International bid so if anyone else can tell us that would be great. Was it Oklahoma Twisters or Flip Factory?

I was surfing today and was able to gleen the following information for bid winners from Nations Best:


2 Partial Paid Bids: Cheer Legendz Pumaz (Limited Coed) and Cheer Eclipse Comets (Limited Coed)


2 At Large Bids: Nebraska All-Star Tigers Silver (Small Senior) and All-American Cheer & Stunt (Small Senior)


1 Int'l At large Bid: Nebraska All-Star Tigers (Int'l Jr All Girl)


Nations Best must give bids out based on overall scores, not who won their divisions. Again, just another method of handing out bids.

Well, we all new the day would come......the day when the USASF Worlds would be reduced to yet another Nationals.  I believe the day has come and the reason I know that is because a team that replaces an "S" in their name with a "Z" has been awarded a bid.  It was good while it lasted!



Good luck to the Pumaz, the Trojanz, the Xplosionz, and whomever else get to go to WorldZ!!
