California Allstars has a great Senior Level-4 team. They competed Senior level-4 Nov-12 at Jamz in Irvine (http://www.jamz.com/pdf/20061112_Champ_Irvine_Schedule.pdf) and they even list them as their "Senior Excel" team on their website. (Excel = Level 4).
Why did they drop to Senior level-3 for Vegas? Was it because Cheer Athletics Senior-4 team will be there?
How does that work. You're 4 if you think you can beat your competition, and 3 if you don't? Do you wait to see who is going, then decide which level? It's a strange thing to do in any sport, how can someone disagree.
Just so all you crazy cheer people can go to bed I thought I would explain. CA's level 3 girls chose to be level 3 at the beginning of the season. Last year they attended NCA nationals for the first time ever and actually placed 2nd behind Texas Lonestar's level 3 Seniors. They were extremely proud of themselves for doing so well at such a prestigous and cut-throat venue. This season these incredible ladies have extremely high expectations of themselves and have decided not settle for runner up but to return back to California with a NCA National Title. Locally, the girls have sought after hard competition by often times bumping themselves UP to the level 4 division. They have done this with a level 3 routine and have not been defeated so far. At this time they will be competing level 3 until after Dallas to ensure that their nationals routine is rock solid for the BIG show. American Grand will be an awesome event to watch and I'm sure those ladies would greatly appreciate your support in there battle to be the best Senior Level 3 team in the country. Whatever the outcome at the end of the season, those of us here at California Allstars, will be so proud of each and every one of those girls for their hardwork and dedication to their program and the sport of cheerleading in general. Lastly we would like to say thank you for everyones intrest in our team.
Impressive to beat level 4 teams with a level 3 routine. So if they have a level 3 routine, they are a level 3 team. Thanks for the info and best of luck to you in Vegas, I'm sure they'll do great.
