We are competing Small Senior 5 this weekend in Vegas in the worlds division. We hope that we can represent Nor Cal in a positive light! That is the only comp that we go to that offers a bid if I am not mistaken.

My advise is to first go to the gym owner or coach and make sure they are aware and that they have a birth certificate to verify the age. Verification of age is required and they will have to provide that information to USASF or to the cheer company.
I do not recommend you bring the issue or gym name up on any message board as that will not resolve the issue, but only cause drama that may not be warranted.
The coaches of the team know, but are going to use them anyway. I don't want drama, and most of my friends say not to tell on this other gym. It might look bad for our team, so I'm not going to say anything. I just was wondering what other people would do.
If any gym or coach decides to compete with members that are too old it will be difficult to pull off. They will be REQUIRED to have birth certificates for each team member. If they don't, they can be disqualified. Most remember the incident last year with CA and I don't think USASF wants that happening again. From everything I've heard if you are going for a bid you better have all those birth certificates ready.
Does anyone know if the competition companies have been asking for documentation verifying age if you are in a Worlds division? Anyone from the teams that went to Athletic Championships, WSF, and now American Championships know if they had to provide documentation? I hope so.
I would let your coach or gym owner handle this so you can stay out of it and not cause any drama for you personally. But no team should be allowed to break the rules in my opinion.
I know what team you are talking about and their name has already been reported. The competition company will be asking for all verification as soon as teams are DONE performing.
My coach knows about this other team. I think maybe he can't do much because the other team is using birth certificats of other people. I guess they r just saying taht they r that person instead of who they really are. Maybe USASF didn't think that teams would try to cheat using other peoples birth certificats.
Maybe someone should just put that gyms name here on the message boards NOW I am sorry but I have not spent 8,000 dollars a year on cheerleading and my kid has spent countless hours in the gym just so my kids team can get screwed by some greedy SOB that wants a bid so bad that they are willing to cheat to get it. If you know someone is doing this then you should let them know that they will be turned in and they will be followed up with an ID check

Last year the documentation requirement was a birth certificate AND a valid picture ID (either drivers license or school ID). And if the cheer company has already been informed let them take care of it.
A friend of mine who is on this team said that some people got fake IDs and used birth certificats of other people. All they had to do was get the name off the birth certificat since it had an okay age on it and then get a fake ID done to match the name. I know kids who have fake IDs to drink so i guess they r easy enough to get for other things to.

That is really very sad to hear. What a complete SHAME if this in fact is going on.
If these people are good enough for a team to want to TRY and get them on their team then they are probably known by other people and will be found out.
