Well I am not the original but I was there. So let me tell you
Not too many uniforms that stood out. POWER of course looked amazing, I was wondering if the rest of the program would get the new tops. It looks like the Level 4 and 5 teams had the Worlds uniform and 1-3 had the same but full top. They looked sharp on stage.
C/O Same uniforms from last year but they still looked amazing. Great lines in the air.
Starstruck I saw there dance teams all I can say is WOW, Props to them and they had they same uniforms. I would love to see them get something flashier.
Alot of the teams didn’t wow me, but I must say, Cheer Starz what is up with those uniforms they look like Pink pajama catholic school uniforms. No striping, skirts were like 2 inches above the knee and baggy. CALL EXTREME MAKEOVER.
Fusion had no uniforms I’ve seen the design for the uniform but they wore all black practice clothes. I will say they looked messy. Other than that nothing to exciting.
I will say I was extremely impressed with the Novice teams level 1 and 2 pulling some pretty hard stunts. Scorps scales ect... Looks like Level 2 is going to have some tough competition this year.
Too many teams however on the other hand were clearly in the wrong division. Alot of the Level 2 teams in Youth and Senior divisions should have been level 1.
Not that most people notice the Mini and Tiny teams but ..... ODYSSEY'S little ones did get new uniforms. We got rid of the old school shell that had ODYSSEY accross the chest. They look cute. But then all Mini and Tiny teams do!!
we had a slight change... wrote: Not that most people notice the Mini and Tiny teams but ..... ODYSSEY'S little ones did get new uniforms. We got rid of the old school shell that had ODYSSEY accross the chest. They look cute. But then all Mini and Tiny teams do!!
I notice the tiny, mini and youth teams. I like to see how they push the envelope. Some of the teams out there looked amazing I loved POWERs tinies they look really awesome just one question why do they have 2 teams instead of one. There Youth 1 looked good, there youth 2 looked amazing they have alot of talent over there. What are they feeding those girls. Maybe I should read the hungry cheerleader thread lol.

You need to see the uniforms on the ROYAL tiny teams. THey are very nice. They seem to be custom. I would like to know who did their uniforms. They are much differnt than the rest of their teams. ANYONE know. Uniform police did you see them. They are purple.

Are you talking about the sparkly ones that look like a pack of preschoolers just stepped out of a saloon somewhere?
Are you talking about the sparkly ones that look like a pack of preschoolers just stepped out of a saloon somewhere? Thank you for solving that for me! I've been trying to think of what they reminded me of and you hit the nail on the head! Cute girls, crazy "uniforms"!

Bare midriffs are not cute on a tiny team. sorry =[

Hey where is UCF competing for the rest of the season. Their level 3 or 4 team seems to be good. Also why do they keep switching back and forth every event. Isn't that kind of confusing for the kids? LOL Either stick with the layouts or tucks haha

Little girls should look like little girls not street walkers
While I don't like the midriffs either, All Tiny and Mini teams are cute. I don't think it is appropriate to compare them to street walkers do you? Come on people they are just little girls trying to have fun on the mat. I would be really mad if my daughters team wore the "tummy shirts" as my daughter calles them, but I would be even more upset at adults calling her a streetwalker because of it.
Why must people go to the most extreme criticism if they don't like someone's uniform. Sorry but one inch of polyester material doesn't make someone a streetwalker or come close. It's all these people who know nothing about performing, shows, or anything that is performance oriented. We should all look boring and wear brown or some ugly outfit so these "comments" will make us look "normal". Please save the half top comments to yourself. Get over it, I have seen bathing suits and girls at the mall wear less. I don't see anyone talking about volleyball players who wear shorts so high I can see their butt or when football players jersey's show their stomach. When a cheerleader does it, they are a streetwalker, annoying!!
that is not nice wrote: While I don't like the midriffs either, All Tiny and Mini teams are cute. I don't think it is appropriate to compare them to street walkers do you? Good Luck to all a Mom NOT from Royals or UCF
Well put. I personally do not want my daughter baring her midriff, or even trying to look like a "senior" when she's a "mini" for that matter. But, I recognize that it's my choice as her parent to find a team that I'm comfortable with.. not only with the coaching style but also the uniforms and the organization as a whole. I guess that's why there's more than one team out there for us to choose from! Either way, you're "typing" on a slippery slope when you dog the little ones! They deserve a big cheer just for getting out there and doin' their thing!
The trend is to go towards crop tops, I think they look great on kids of all ages. Even the gyms that didn't have them are moving towards them, so it really has nothing to do with morals or coaching styles. People like to slip that in... as if to say if your teams are wearing short tops it says something about the organization. Please, give me a break.

I hate to bring up a sensitive subject but cropped tops do not look good on girls who are a little "thicker". I think it is important to try to find something that will compliment all body types. Hopefully all gym owners will keep this in mind when making uniform decisions. Appearance aside, I am sure the girls with a few extra pounds are self concious as it is. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE MEAN OR RUDE

Nobody send anything about morals except you. There are plenty of reasons why someone might not be comfortable in a crop top. If someone or if parents are not comfortable with the crop tops, then that's ok, too. Different gyms, different choices. That was my only point.

It's not even girls who are "thicker", as you put it. There are plenty of very slim girls who still do not look good in a crop top. I especially hate when a section of dance is down on the floor and the girls are kneeling with their tummies (slender or otherwise) hanging out of those tops.
And as far as age goes, I agree that if you think you just have to go that way with your teams, crop tops should be reserved for senior teams. It's not about being athletic, comfortable, or less hot (then we should all just go sleeveless!). It's a silly trend and I can't wait til it dies.
