Small Seniors, Large Seniors, Juniors

Small Seniors,

I've never gone through a season and had as many productive practices as we have had. Although we stumbled in the beginning, once you guys stopped being "friends" and started being teammates, this team has really produced. Today was another great example of that.

From the conditioning to the new skills being attempted and mastered to the all out effort from everyone, the year is progressing faster then I had hoped. Choreography is right around the corner and crazy ideas still float in and out of my head. Hopefully one day it will attach itself there and I'll know exactly how we're going to change the world of cheerleading.

However, as fast as we are progressing let's keep in mind that the time is also flying by. We are a short 5 months away from the being on the biggest stage in the All Star business. Let's keep in mind that 5 months is only 40 practices until Dallas. 40 practices to put together an incredible routine and then bring it to absolute perfection.

I hope you all are as excited as I am.

Large Seniors,

In the beginning you faced some tough challenges. But from the very beginning I knew you guys would over come them and be the key essential element to the overall success of the entire Motions program. You've got an incredible die hard staff and you have awesome cheerleaders on your team. You have people that know how to lead a team, not just show up and throw some tough skills.

You're improvement is phenmenol and a lot of you have really stepped up big this year (Low Ball, Zakia, Renee just to name a few). This year will be a special one for you all so cherish the time you get now. Competition for you guys is just a short 2 months away and I know that your coaches, especially Michelle, are really looking forward to you guys taking the floor.

Junior Coed,

For the past three years Nikki always leaves me scratching my head and wondering how exactly she did it. This year I've learned not to question and instead to just go with the flow. Already this team is better then any of the three Junior teams Motions has had in the past and its still only August. I know Nikki has some crazy ideas and you will all learn what I have learned, just trust her.

There are a big handful of veterans on that team which is something that the Motions Junior team has not had in the past. With people like Robert, Josie, Cheyenne, Danielle, Melanie, Nicole and more as veterans this team is destined for great success, as long as Robert doesn't have to do anymore split leaps.

I chose our shirt design for a very specific reason. No, it wasn't because I thought the chinese symbol looked cool. It's because what it means truly describes a person involved in the Motions family. Passion. All the Motions Cheerleaders who love being in the gym, who show up 30 minutes early to practice or stay 30 minutes later to keep working on their tumbling. Those that work until they drop, then stand up and work some more. The coaches whose passion for not only cheerleading, but for Motions far surpasses anything I have ever seen before. Motions is about Passion. A Passion for cheerleading, a Passion for success, a Passion for our program. This is what will continue to make us successful year in and year out.

The M, is back again...? You know, I don't think the M ever left.
