I would guess that it's cause that comp kinda sucks..... and everything is always closed that week, so why bother?

Plus, in March I believe they are going, so why go twice?

I guess it would suck to go to such a comp that is filled with big name gyms and alot of talent. Not to mention a respectable scoring system.

Well just because alot of other teams are going, doesn't mean they need to go. To my knowledge the only teams going to the grand are Cheerforce, Nor Cal, Airborne, and I think POWER. California all stars went last year, but that hardly covers the whole state going.

American championships is a great organization, but it's not for everyone. People really need to get over themselves and stop demanding where people should go. There are over 100 competition companies and you expect everyone to go the same ones.

CG is not going to any Vegas comps this season. We usually do two traveling comps and they are always in Feb., March timeframe. As far as I know we have never gone to that comp but the level 5 teams will be in Atlanta to compete against a lot of the teams mentioned. :) Good luck to everyone going to Vegas, I'm sure it will be a great comp and a great time! Make sure to let us all know how it goes!

The American Grand is a great event, if you can afford it and you can get all the kids to get out of school around that time. It's usually a task. Pyramids did go to that event in 2000 or 2001. There are so many nationals, that its hard to choose which ones to go to.

By the way, its not way out in the middle of nowhere. It's in the MGM Grand, LOL one of the largest hotels in the world.

You did do something to deserve being as you call it "attacked" you said the competition "SUCKED" and who cares if you went twice before. We have gone 3 years in a row and as of last year the competition was awesome. Huge improvements over anything of the past. Great arena (not dark at all), good seating, timing was good, awards were good, great fun to see Cheer Athletics and Cali Allstars last year. It was BY FAR the best comp on the west last year.

By the way when you attack something (that you know nothing about) do not be surprised when someone steps up to PROVE you wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually our junior team and senior prep team won that year. I was on senior preps!

Wow, do you own that competition? Am I not allowed to say it sucked??? Do you own it? Are you the director for American Grand? I guess I owe everyone an apology for posting my opinion of a competition. Aparently everyone else is allowed to state their opinion of a competition but not me. I didn't see that in the rulse for the message board.

Please accept my deepest regrets and apologies. I sincerely hope you all can forgive me for not liking that particular competition. I promise to like it from now on. I will ask our cheer director to take us there next season. Hopefully we can go. Then you all can yell at me and be totally rude to me and make me feel smaller than a piece of dirt for having my own opinion.

Nobody said anything Rude to you, you were the one attacking that competition. You cannot base your opinion on it if you have not gone in the last 2 years. Everything you think you know is wrong. I was only trying to let you know that it is a great comp...as far as being the owner/director...I wish...then I would not have to worry about $$$.
