I thought this might be a fun new topic. Do you have any favorite words of wisdom to share? Applying to cheer or just life in general? I saw this the other day and it stuck..
There is a poster in my math class that says..."I have missed over 3000 shots. I have lost more then 300 games. 26 times I have been trusted with making the winning shot and missed. I failed so many times, but that is why I succeed."
I think it's good cause no matter what your doing in life you are going to mess up sometime. In cheer you just don't go to the gym and say hmm I feel like throwing this pass or this stunt and throw it perfectly first try. You fail and in that failing you learn how to correct it and turn it into a success.
A house unkempt cannot be so distressing as a life unlived.
Biting ones tongue and not saying angry words is much easier than eating them.
Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently.
There are no barriers in life, only challenges.
Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone!
Never argue with a fool, people might not know the difference.
Integrity is what you do when no one is looking.
Most people reach the top of the ladder of success only to find it is leaning against the wrong wall.
A man who has committed a mistake and does not correct it is commiting another mistake. - Confucius
It is good to have an end to journey toward: but it is the journey that matters in the end. - U. Guin
How long is a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you're on.
THIS IS TO ALL CHEER PARENTS It is much easier to be critical than to be correct.
When the door of happiness closes, another opens. But sometimes we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
And one last funny one.... no wisdom, just funny......
When I die, I want to die like my grandfather in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.
