Not Cheering Senior Year H.S.

I was curious and would like to hear from cheerleaders, parents and coaches. Is there a big drop off for cheerleaders at the end of their junior year? This will be my daughter's last season and she is a junior. She has been cheering for years now and does enjoy it and I know she will miss it. At the same time I know she is excited to just plain enjoy her senior year!

Several factors playing into it. Mostly of course the cost. Senior year will be expensive I am sure from pictures, to prom, graduation party. She wants to get a job and a car.

Any cheerleaders out there who did this?
Any regrets?
Any parents have feedback on the expense of senior year (never been thru it)?
Coaches have you seen a drop off?

In the past years I did not see a big drop off once the kids hit Senior year but for some reason this year we did. I think the kids want to have the freedom of senior year and not worry about having an added responsibility.

I think you can do all those things and still cheer. I see alot of people go back to cheer during their senior year and cheer, but take their 11th grade year off. Either way with good planning you can do everything. I know many people always regret not doing cheer, especially all stars throughout their entire high school career. After you graduate reality sets in and there isn't as much time, even if youcheer in college its not the same.

Only some people can do all those things. It just takes money to do all those things I mentioned. Yes people can juggle and use good time management, but that only goes so far.

It is costly, but pictures, prom and graduation party is how you plan and budget. You can do really nice things without spending lots of money. Again its all in planning and time management.
