I think it would be pretty cool to see a running list of the programs still alive in Nor Cal since some seem to pop up and then disappear after a year or two...I'll start, feel free to add on to the list...
Pyramids Motions 720 Power Airborne NCP SR Elite Rockets Cheer Tyme Sonic SBE/NCE Clovis Powerhouse Cheer Xplosion Cheer Odyssey United Rebels Rebels Elite Athletic Perfection Allstar Elite Alpha & Omega Cheer Divas Cheer Effex Cheer with a Twist Humbolt All-Stars Legacy Roseville Cheer Stars Starstruck Gymstars Ultimate Allstars California Spirit
The last couple of years there was a Victorious Elite (think their colors were pink and black, like Cheer Divas); based somewhere in the Manteca area; anyone know if they're still around?
So Rebels and Rebels Elite are two different organizations? I'll have to pay more attention at competitions, I'm not sure which ones we saw. Hope at least their colors are different.
I like this thread, it's good to give a shout out to teams who don't get mentioned on this message board! We can look for them this season.
I like this thread also. Great list going! Great info going out too about who is still around and who isn't. Sonoma County Cheer University is still trying to hold it together, but doesn't look very good. Most of their kids are over at Airborne now. Lots of talent at airborne in coaching and athletes. Does anyone know if Santa Rosa Elite has been able to field a team this year?
One To Add (maybe)? wrote: The last couple of years there was a Victorious Elite (think their colors were pink and black, like Cheer Divas); based somewhere in the Manteca area; anyone know if they're still around?
Victorious Allstar Elite or VEA is in Manteca and they are still open and doing well I have heard.
I think that people are naming off Northern California teams because a good majority of people who read and post on this board are from the Bay Area and Central Valley. I know there are more from other areas like So Cal, so forth that have discovered this message board, but I think the majority are still from here. I don't think anyone is trying to slight any of the teams in southern CA.... They are naming off the gyms they know.
How about starting one for So. Cal teams? Unless it's already been done? I would like to know how many are down south, and how many teams we've had the priviledge of seeing perform at competitions. Yes, we're all California teams, but let's face it, geographically we all tend to divide California into Northern and Southern. Of course it doesn't mean we need to be divided in spirit!
