I say that people start leaving their name and what team they're from...
I know it's an anonymous board but all it's done is created drama...Like look at it this way, most people can talk all this stuff about other people behind their back but don't have the balls to say it in their face, it's that kind of thing, if it's too bad for you to not even leave your name, it most deffinatly shouldn't be on this board...
I completely disagree. If people want to leave their team names with their names, it's perfectly fine. But half the time it's been to the detriment of their organization, and I'm sure their organization would rather they leave their name out of it! Even posts that come off as annoying that have a gym name attached can leave a bad impression of the gym, even thought it's just one or two people posting.
Some of us have issues that are more general than specific. But if we had to state our gym name, the coaches/owners may read it and misinterpret it, or take it personal, or take it out on our kids, etc... YOu see? This board allows us to freely state our feelings about issues, and to seek out advice.
I agree it can also allow people to say things they wouldn't normally say if they were held accountable, but you take the bad with the good. Instead, let's just make another plea for people to THINK before they type anything negative. Is the post constructive? Can anything good come out of it? Is it just negativity running rapid or constructive criticism? I think we can all work on that.
I see what you're saying Cory, but it could be worse if gym names are mentioned. At least when someone's being a jerk anonymously, you think of the poster as one rude person. But we've seen rude posts with gym names attached. Now it's hard not to associate the rude post with the gym. It works the other way too of course; there are some nice posts from gym members, creating a good image of their organization. It really does work both ways. So I say why not leave things the way they are. Just another way to see it.
I'm completely not trying to sound rude here at all it's just I come on these boards a lot and see these teams like Cheer Force just get shot down for pretty much no reason at all...
So what I'm just trying to say is that if it's a post that will make your gym look bad, you might want to re-think posting it at all.
I completely understand what your saying, but I just wanna get all this stupid drama off the boards, so if your still not wanting to leave your name/gym, please think about the gym that your shooting down before you do so.
If you're gonna say something obnoxious, then don't put your name, and definitely not your gym. What REALLY bothers me is when people say innapropriate things and ONLY put their gym name but not theirs. That's just wrong.
