I am not understanding the International division at Worlds. Why can US teams compete in this division and the normal divisions? I would appreciate any words of wisdom on clearing this up for me.
The major part of the reason is due to age. If you look at the "normal" divisions, they are 18 and under. The international divisions are 14 and over I believe. Non-US teams tend to have people on their teams older than 18, just because sports are completely differnet overseas. We divide ourselves differnetly in the US versus Europe for example.

to me its a sad way for u.s. teams to say "yeah we won worlds" when ur competing against teams from, say china, that they can bearly (sp) lift a half.
If that is all that enters the division, then oh well. It was opened to any American team that qualified. It isn't the fault of the winning team that only China, etc. entered. That doesn't take away the fact that they did indeed win worlds. If others are upset, then let them enter that division and go for it too.
The teams that won worlds could def. lift more than a 1/2. The 1st place team in Coed was great and the All girl team may not have done as well outside of that division but they were good too.
I was watching the ESPN video and noticed the announcers Introduced the International Division saying that cheerleading is not as advanced as in the Us and the international division was created to give them and advantage. When they showed the final rankings they did not even point out the US TEAMS they said the HIGHEST RANKING INTERNATIONAL TEAM was OSOS out of Bogota Columbia.
I am glad they did that! We need to encourage them to participate! How can we say we are the best in the World if the World isn't there! Hopefully it gets bigger in the years to come!
