I wish other levels had the chance to go to Worlds, but unfortunately it is strictly for level 5 senior teams.

I think worlds should be all level 5 teams. After all it is a competition for the best of the best right? Well if it is why is it only senior level 5 teams? I've seen a lot of level 5 jr teams that are better then senior level 5 teams.

I agree a Jr. team won Sm. Sr. at Worlds.

Cheer Athletics Jr. Small All Girl won that division.

Of course it should only be for level five teams. What if a team wanted to become World Champs and get the trophy and rings? Any team could just go down a lower lever and smoke everyone. Its for the best of the best!

Except for the fact that most level 6 teams couldn't beat a good level 4 team. Most of them that I have very little difficulty, if you minus that backtuck basket that they throw into the routine.

I think it should be level 5 and 6, Senior teams and Collegiate teams.

I've heard rumors that USASF may change Senior teams to include level 6. Once that rule change has been around then Worlds would be for level 6 teams.

But that is definitely a rumor.

If you get outside California, you'll see tons of good level 6 teams. My particular favorite over many years has been CYC Raiders from Wisconsin. But there are lots of great level 6 teams - we just don't see many of them around here.

What states are you talking about? I have seen CYC Raiders and they are clean, but many level 5 teams are usually more competitive. I Know for a while WCA had a strong showing of level 6 programs, but that division kind of fizzled out.

I agree with you to an extent, but I think it has more to do with the way competition corporations decided to structure their systems. Many don't even allow level 6 outside college anymore, and that would tend to have a big effect on whether or not a program would even continue to have a level 6 team. If it were me, I'd rather go down and clean up in level 5, I suppose.

Excuse me, but maybe I missed something. Level 6 is for 18 yrs and up. And Level 5 is 18 years and younger.

So how can you be a level 6 team and go down to level 5 to "clean up"?

No Open teams are 18 and up, senior teams are 18, 19 or w/e and below. You can have a senior team go level 6 if you want, its just not that common.

There are some competition companies that have level 6 divisions for seniors.

According to USASF rules the senior age divisions are levels 1-5 and do not include level 6. Open teams are the only division listed as level 6. So are you telling me there are companies allowing senior teams to compete at level 6? Which ones? They must not be USASF members.

I know in Anaheim two years ago i think it was American Championships not sure but it was in anaheim, they had a level six senior team.

The American Championships did have a level 6 for senior teams. I think it was 2or 3 years ago cause my son was on a team that competed both senior co-ed and I think it was senior elite level 6 they allowed college stunts etc. It was at the American Grand in Vegas and then again at showcase. They changed it to the international level last year.

Okay, but again, USASF rules indicate International teams are only level 5, not level 6. The only level 6 teams are "Open" teams that are age 18 and over. So, from what I can tell for 2006-2007 season the only level 6 teams would be Open teams, not Senior Division.

Can seniors in high school be on these teams? Yes, if they are 18 yrs old by May 31.
