Why do we even have this anonymous arlene? All people ever do on it is compare cheer teams and bad mouth each other. If you are happy with your team that is all that matters. Why does everyone compare the teams and why do we all have so much animosity towards each other. I mean we are all cheerleaders and we all love what we are doing so as long as we are happy with where we are, why does it matter who we cheer for? and who is the best. I dont know about you but i cheer because i love to do it and it makes me happy. I dont do it cuz i want to win and be number one. Of course i want to win and be great but i love to cheer and i love the team that i am on and i think that that is all that matters
I think there are a lot of thought provoking topics that come up on this message board, and most of the time posters feel more comfortable if there isn't a name and organization tied to their post because they are bringing up issues that may have nothing to do with any particular teams or organizations. Or maybe they're bringing up issues that do pertain to their own organization, to see what others think. It's been great for that.
But I agree completely about using it to say (or "predict") who is going to be better than who, or who is going to be the best this year. That serves no purpose whatsoever.
Yea, I guess I might be also, but there's a reason for this board. You might want to explain that to her. She doesn't understand the reasoning behind the ability to talk about wat you want to talk about without having to worry about being persicuted. (sp)
Her heart is in the right place but she needs some facts also. Good job Mom. She's a nice kid.
I agree with the last post. Be proud of your daughter for questioning some of the topics on this board. But she should also realize there are other topics that are constructive. I don't even read the "who do you think will be the best" posts, they are meaningless to me.
Oh she understands very well the reason for this board. Questions are great. What she doesn't agree with however is the putting down of other teams. I guess she personally doesn't feel the need to be like that and really doesn't understand why others feel the need to. This board has a good purpose but at times it goes too far.
I agree that i don't believe gyms should talk badly about and other gyms, but there is always going to be that trash talking. Someone sees something they don't like, they get hurt by it, and post something negative which leads to another person getting hurt and posting another neg comment and soon, like I always see, the whole topic which used to be as simple as a thank you bulletin turns into a free for all battle in shooting negative comments back and forth, mainly about gyms or certain people at certain gyms. To me posting neg comments about anyone or any gym is unprofessional, but that's just my opinion.
