Katy Nicole George ‘s life was cut short by a car accident on the way home from a National Cheerleading Competition in Hollywood, Ca. Katy was an eight grade student at French Camp Elementary School where she was Class President. Katy’s passion in life was competitive cheerleading. She was a member of Cheer Odyssey where her talents were maximized in tumbling and flying. The Katy George Memorial Scholarship Fund will enable young girls who would not normally be able to afford the sport to apply for a spot on a Cheer Odyssey team. Katy’s passion and love for her sport will continue through your donations.

WOW! $600.00 is wonderful. What I am personally doing is taking half of my fundraising profit and donating it to the Scholorship fund. It is a great way to help when you may not be albe to otherwise. Not sure how most gyms distribute fundraising money, but I am glad I have the opprotunity to do something for the cause. I will be sure to let you know how it goes.
although this has been a pretty rough time for many of us: some losing a team member, gyms folding, gyms opening, i am amazed to see how much support really is out there within the cheer community. From gym to gym, coach to coach, athelete to athelete i definitely feel the love, good luck with the new season!!

I would like to see other organizations come up with scholarship funds to give kids in their area a chance to cheer at their organization who otherwise wouldn't be able to. I think it's a great idea.
I said I would try and remember to let you know how it turned out! So here it is....$285.00 is half of the profit from the fundraiser I will be donated to Katy's fund. Yeah! :) but please, feel free to beat that in Katy's honor!!
Gold Canyon Candle fundraiser! I did a bit of outsourcing to help for the cause, I recruted my sister to sell at her work and a family friend. So together we made a grand total of around 1600.00 in sales. I was highly motivated to get some good results and did it anyway I could. People were very responsive to contribute and in return they got a great product.
