Unfortunately it is true. The Focus gym in Redwood City will be closing on Monday. There just wasn't enough interest to keep it going. Hopefully we'll be able to reopen it sometime in the future but for now this was the only option.

Some of the colony kids are probally going to go to pyramids. There also a new gym in Pleasanton called California Spirit Elite. I'm sure everyone will find a home.
I think I would like to see if we could get a carpool together and go to Motions. I heard that there are parents from Santa Cruz that do it, and they don't have to drive very much. Not to mention going to Motions would be against the traffic.
I drove to San Jose 3 mights a week from pleasanton this season and it only takes about half an hour if that. You do not get into heavy traffic until you are in the middle of San Jose.
Some are going to California Spirit Elite, some are going to Cheer Xplosion. I don't know if anyone is travelling further than that, but if so I'm sure they could get a carpool going to make it easier.
Correction, I should have said that some are getting information about California Spirit Elite, some are getting info on Cheer Xplosion. I don't know if anyone is actually going to either. Those are the only local gyms I've heard mentioned.
I think it's tough for any business these days. Personally I would love to see more gyms merge.
I think about four of the girls from Colony are going to go to California Spirit Elite. I know three are going to Pyramids for sure. I don't think anyone is going to Cheer Xplosion? I wish everyone good luck. But it just won't be the same. Sure will miss Jodi and Darcy cus they were the best.
To be truly supportive is to support your fellow teammates wherever they decide to go, even if they don't go where you would like. I agree, why the sad face?
