Yeah thanks for including So Cal on your shirts. I noticed a coach from A So Cal team wanted to make a Cali shirt to show support to BOTH So Cal AND Nor Cal and was willing to listen to all Cali teams for ideas for a "United Cali T-shirt"........but Nor Cal decided to make their OWN t-shirts for Nor Cal...How sad! Seems like So Cal Coach shows better sportmanship.............Is Nor Cal Jealoous?? Or is it something more???????? I noticed that CF teams arrived several hours early to support all the Cali teams, including Nor Cal! What's up with that????????
I have to ask the obvious question ... what would have been the harm in putting all the California teams on a t-shirt, regardless of who participated in the decision making? It would have been very cool to design the shirt to include everyone, instead of separating our state like that. If those who didn't participate didn't want to buy one, so what? I'm sorry, but I must be missing something.
To ask why Cheergyms and POWER made thier own shirt is because they are close in distance and are close as staffs. The meant now disrespect to anyone else and were more than supportive to every cali team at Worlds. If you say a red thunder stix- that was THEM. As worlds got closer it was apparently hard to organize a combined shirt. I think you would need to ask EVERY gym owner and see if they were approached. I do not think that was the case. Coaches are busy getting ready for Worlds. That is totally understandable.
Cheergyms and POWER are close. Heck they even had a show case together before Worlds where all of the parents cam together and watched them for one last time. They did however mean no disrespect to anyone in So Cal. That was PLAIN to see at Worlds when they provided TONS of support for ALL CALI teams.
You know I have heard alot about this and here are a few things that need to be mentioned.
Coach Shawn did make an attempt to provide the shirt Thank you for that but from there I don't know what happened. The issue with "JUST MAKING A SHIRT" is you have to have permission to use other programs logos.
He or whoever wanted to do this could have created a t-shirt and emailed it to everyone and followed up, but I can understand if he was really busy and other coaches wouldn't respond. The logos he could have used the ones he has on the CF website as a placeholder. It is very difficult to do since everyone is really concerned with practice.
Some Socal teams also had showcases with other teams. There is no drama there with Power and Cheergyms doing one.
I think these message boards stir up to much drama and Coach Shawns only mistake was publicizing the shirt idea on the message board. It should have been handled by gym owners by email or phone and you know what if they didn't respond then you make a shirt with the ones that responded. I know that once they got to Florida and the teams that did not get included see the shirts from Nor and So Cal together the kids would have asked why aren't we on that shirt. So from my understanding is that out of the 10 or so teams that went to Worlds not one owner responded to Shawn.
Well you know what everyone just let it go. All Senior 5 teams should come up with a few designs and submit to their coaches and if CF wants to take charge of making it then so be it At least the design will be ready and then all you have to do is add the logos later. It is not a Nor or So Cal thing and honestly these message boards are what cause the problems between the state. Yes CF showed up early, but you know what Power stayed to cheer them on to. Everyone in Nor Cal cheered everyone on. So enought with the drama.
Make the shirt---- Gym Owners are very visual people they like to see eveything on paper.
Coach Shawn no disrespect. but why didn'y you make the shirt with the teams that did respond or did any respond at all?

ACE is in the SO(uth) and C(entral) AL(abama). We were excluded as well. Gosh NOR CAL people, what were you thinking? Just because you won the War of Northern Aggression, you think you can push us SO(uth) people around forever?
How dare you do something for your own kids and include others that you know just because their close to you and decided to support you!

I'm sure Cheer Athletics gets upset if Cheer Station or Spirit of Texas doesn't include them..Pshhhh get over it
I can see why people would thnik Nor Cal could push people around based on a shirt. That's definatly not the case on the mat. But that's ok, next year we will all come together as one and have a united shirt. Lesson learned.
