I just heard that Champion coaches are leaving and going to another gym in So Cal called So Cal Elite. They are a new gym in San Diego. This year they had 2 level 4 teams. I heard that CA is going to start up a gym where Champion used to be. Now they'll have two locations, one in North county and South county of San Diego. Interesting!
Why the change and by next season, do you mean 2006-2007? What is happening to the old gym if they are not merging and only the coaches are leaving? Is California Allstars going to use that gym as a 2nd location for them? Good move on their part if they do. So many kids couldn't travel that far to the other gym and this one is more centrally located.
There is information on both Champion and California All Stars web sites if you are interested in getting details. Champion does not mention anything about them merging with So Cal Elite, but the coaches may be moving to that gym. Anyone have a web site for So Cal Elite?
All of the Champion coaches are going to So Cal. Don't know if they have a website. The owner of So Cal coaches SDSU (2nd place Div 1 all girl @ UCA this year.). She also coached Ramona HS and Granite Hills I believe. Not sure if she is going to continue with her HS teams.
