Just curious... I was on the usasf site... and motions coed had a PAID bid. Paid? are you serious. i really dont think they are at the level they need to be at to first of all get a pad bid, and second of all compete with teams like KE,Ace of BAMA, or ENcore,Georgia, CA allstars etc. etc. at-large im sure they could get. but paid should go to the best teams. what score did they get? im going to just look it up cause seriously i cant believe they got a paid.... i thought that was a mistake when i saw them . Umm.. ya im prob. going to get bombarded by people on here now but i really dont care. Motions is good. But PAID BID? they should have gotten partial paid, or at-large... and proven themselves in prelims against the other teams before going against the better coed teams. But thats just me voicing an opinion. Im sure motions coed works just as hard as anyone else.. and they are a good coed team much better than a lot of teams out there. but ive seen them earlier this year. and i just cant get over they got a FULL PAID WORLDS BID! WoW.
Yea, it's already been discussed numerous times on this board that there are flaws in the system this year that hopefully will be corrected next year. Still, they're a good underdog team that might do better than you'd think. Like football teams who make the playoffs easier because they're in a weaker division, sometimes they go further than you'd expect. Let's give them a chance, and hopefully the flaws will be fixed for next season. Does USASF even acknowledge there are flaws?? I hope so.
Curious Guy, if you have a problem with the way the bids were handed out this year, and many others do as well, make sure you complain to the right folks. Motions did nothing wrong and based on the rules, deserved the paid bid. They had to perform their best to beat out the other teams for that 2nd place bid, and that's exactly what they did. They have no control over all the other stuff, they only knew what they had to do. It's not like other teams people may think are more deserving didn't have the opportunity to sign up with Jamz earlier.
Though I do not agree with your opinion, I certainly do respect your right to your own opinion, and hope you can do the same for mine. In your comment you said:
"...Im sure motions coed works just as hard as anyone else.. and they are a good coed team much better than a lot of teams out there. but ive seen them earlier this year. and i just cant get over they got a FULL PAID WORLDS BID!"
Yes they work as hard as everyone else, if not harder. Yes, they are better than a lot of the teams out there, but then again, most members of any gym will say that about their own elite team, but for you to base your judgement on whether or not they deserve the value of the bid they received based on an earlier performance is not fair. Like many other cheer teams, they've improved.
They won the bid based on the two performances in Las Vegas on the weekend of March 10, not on a performance from "earlier this year."
I'm on Motions Coed, and I for some reason, I do not take any type of offense tot his thread. Weird.. moving on.
I agree. I dont think we should have gotten a Full Paid Bid either. I think that if bids are going to be passed down (Full Paid or Partial Paid) that they should be passed down a notch lower than what they are. ie; A Full Paid bid being passed down as a Partial Paid bid, or a Partial Paid bid being passed down as an At Large bid. However, I do not believe that at large bids should be passed down at all.
In vegas, our second performace was our BEST YET. "Perfect" is what Nelson called it. We worked very hard for that spot, even to be second behind CA (who was also incredible!).
DID EVERYTHING RIGHT... complaining? no. i am questioning. And i cannot blame motions for hitting their routine.Or getting second which im sure they deserve. i never blamed anyone. And by seeing them earlier this year im talking their comp. before JAMS. which by then they couldnt have changed all that much.
Dear Lord Please let it go! If you dont like what i have to say dont come on here and read it . noone is forcing you at gunpoint . and if they are i deeply apoligize. Dead subject ha. its actually very interesting im quite infatuated with all that is going on with motions . NOT! Actually i could care less.good for them they worked the system. I just thought i would voice an opinion and maybe change someone elses in the process if not then fine. if i do then good. enough already? you sound as if it is killing you inside to get online and read what i have to say. . . so sorry for you,my dearest friend. i hope you learn not read things that tend to irk you. and NOW i am finished. Good day.
FEED UP AGAIN>>>... okay (sigh) first read what the second and third rules really say on the home page gilligan.

I am actually not abiding by rule number two out of three . IF YOU READ THE RULES you would clearly see that you are mistaken.
And of course it is not courteous or positive if i say anything that you do not like about "your" teams. evidently I have stricken a bit of a soft spot.and i do appoligize if you feel like i am picking on your team. But i really am not. its "just a topic" thought it was interesting... and i would have happily been finished however i am being held responsible on here for blaming your team for succeeding.none of that has been done here. CONGRATS CHAMP! two thumbs up. You obviously dont care about other's opinions, but only the people who ONLY support your own views. . . imagine that! cheergyms having a comment NAZI to protect the gym for reality and what people really think. just like that kid that got on here and bad mouthed your owner or w/e nevertheless you didnt let that opinion stand b/c life is all rainbows and lolly pops to you.
These are message boards like it or not. if you didnt want to know what people have to say then why have them in the first place. you will not always agree with what people have to say. but what you are doing is shutting down an opinion that disagrees with that of your own. Do not make the topics so open if you dislike what is being said. Whatisprox.com is a good example of how to run a message board properly. but because you all are on here whining about what a simple spectator has to say.And with that i bid you farewell... and wish your team the best of luck and hope that you one day learn how to react when given a situation such as this. This will be my final post on your boards. whatever you write in response is irrelivant i will not return to reply.
