American Grand originally awarded California All Stars Large Coed with unpaid bid. California All Stars now has a paid bid from USA. The unpaid bid was then given to CheerForce, but they declined. Has South Bay been given the unpaid bid and are they fundraising to go to Worlds? Fans want to know...
I have no idea why Cheerofrce would get that bid. Weren't they 3rd in both of those divisions. Why would it not go to South Bay even before Cheerforce ?
they were second in one of their divisions i forgot which one but i dont think it was their large coed team i think it was their small coed team that got second in their division due to a missed illegal move still dont know how they got it tho since it wasnt their large team that got second
Well it looks as though South Bay might get his bid (hopefully). I called the cheer company today and was told only the president can give out the bid and he is out of town until next week. Not wanting to go to Michigan in 2 weeks to try for a bid I am hoping we can get an answer soon!!
P.S Thanks Cheergyms for your continued support of all cheer things sacred!
So, SBE is going to attend Great Lakes Cheer Championships in Michigan, March 25-26 to compete for chance at receiving one of the 2 Partial Paid bids ($5000) or 1 At large bid (unpaid) being given out. Good luck in your fundraising to go to Michigan for a bid.
Thanks, We appreciate everyone's support. South Bay really wants to go the World's and if we have to go to Michigan to get it we will. I am just saying it would be a heck of alot easier (and cheaper) to get the at large bid from Vegas.

Are you kidding? Michigan is NEXT weekend. If you wait for USASF to get their act together and figure it out, you guys won't have time to even get prepared to go to Michigan.
I know it is not alot of time and with the president of American Spirit being out until next week it leaves us no time. I guess we either hope for the best or go to Michigan. I am leaning more towards hoping for the best.

I don't think it is USASF that has to get their act together. It is American Championships. Quote from USASF web site: "It is up to the discretion of the member companies to decide the manner in which their bids are awarded."
So at this point USASF has nothing to do with American Championships decision on if they will hand down the unpaid bid that has been declined.
When is last date to register for Michigan? And to arrange airfare and hotels at such late date is going to be EXPENSIVE!
Wow, not sure it is worth it. I think Worlds "fever" has gotten out of control.
ok im a little confused..so we still might be able to get an unpaid from american grand because ca now has a full paid one?? can someone explain a little more please?!!? **oh and congrats to motions at jamz..represent cali well
I too belive the Worlds event is crazy. I do think it is a honor to go to Worlds but, at what cost? I am not sure the all the Hype is going to be worth it. The kids are so excited, thats all they think about. I m very proud of the hard work my daughter and her team mates have put in. As a mom I have to say I can't wait untill this is all over.
Yes you have what I consider a huge (99%) chance of getting the bid declined from the American Championships. It looks like the only problem is that you might have to wait to get the final word until after the president of that cheer company comes back. You might want to have your coach call AMerican championships and see if he can get the process expedited so your team would not have to go to Michigan.
Wow, that is crazy that South Bay will go all the way to Michigan. I know an Arizona team went to Washington DC to get a bid. All I can say is WOW to all this Worlds Madness. Well good luck South Bay.
Do we know the scored from American Grand? Because South Bay might not have had as high a score as another team that got second, or even first, but I beleive that CTC gave out the bids by score, not division. If CTC gave the bids out my score, and we do not know the scores, then we don't know if they have a huge 99% chance of getting that bid. IE, Top Gun Large Seniors might've scored higher that South Bay Large Coed, and Top Gun would get the "unpaid bid"

Bryan, if you look at the earlier posting you will see that South Bay is the only team in any top spot to not have a bid. Regardless of division I think South Bay would have the bid. There is no way that a 4th or 5th place team from one of the other divisions scored higher then a 2nd place team.
The last day to register and pay for Michigan is today!!!!!! Hopefully American Grand will work out for you...cause Michigan looks slim!!
Really believe the way these bids are given needs to be changed......Worlds is starting to look more like a Nationals.... I would have to say that all the teams going are just not the best of the best!!!! More like, who declined what bid and who handed down this bid!! Getting CRAZY!!
If a bid is given to team A and they do not want it or they have one from another company, I do not think it should get handed to someone else. At the Olympics they do not hand over golds just because someone else already got a gold!!!
