Motions was perfect in their second performance today and ended up 2nd behind California All stars. CA already had their paid bid so Motions got the paid bid from Jamz!
Congrats to Jamz National Champion California Bullets and way to go Motions! Good Luck at Worlds! Go cheergyms.com!!!
Final Standings in Large Co-Ed 1) CA Bullets 2) Motions 3) Clovis Elite 4) Pyramids 5) Oakridge
Amen to previous post. All the stupid negativity needs to stop! Each and every team that has gotten a bid worked hard to get their bid. Each of the teams I have seen brings something different and unique. Some have better stunting, some have better tumbling, some have better dance sequences, some have better jumps. But they all have one thing in common they are amazing athletes!
Also, what an opportunity to go and compete and see the best, how inspirational it that. I know my daughter has been inspired by what she has seen this season! I know the experience of going to Worlds is going to be a truly amazing experience that will inspire alot of teams, coaches, athletes and programs.
I agree with glass half full. Every team that has a bid knows what they are up against! California is going to represent in a big way!
worlds watcher wrote: good luck to motions at worlds all i gotta say is you better get some partner stunts bc every lrg. Coed team at worlds will have them!
Actually the only team to have true partner stunting is KY elite, but for the most part most h.s and all star programs have assisted partner stunts, so I think motions is ok with the routine they have now.
i think the only reason someone said something is because they will be against teams like this....
that team, pro cheer got SECOND out of three teams at UCA. and thats just uca.. wait till you add cheersport and NCA people.
but i think no matter what motions knows who they are up against and im sure they will do great for their team.
california cheerleading is not yet up to the standards of someother states but we are getting there!
lets not 'hate' on motions because they got a paid bid. anyone else could have gone to jamz if they wanted to. and thats how it worked out so they earned it.

Yes, Nor Cal All Star, you are completely right, we are very aware of what we are up against. We saw a good portion of those teams in Atlanta.
We're also very aware of what we are bringing. We are very aware of the fact that we only have 6 boys. We are very aware of the fact that we don't have any "partner stunting". We are very aware of the fact that we don't have full squad tumbling, let alone full squad standing backs. We are very aware that we only have a few double full twisting layouts. We are very aware that only one of our kids can currently do a standing full.
That being said, I'm also very aware of the fact that a judge will only see my routine for 2 1/2 minutes and that in that incredibly short amount of time I need to do whatever I can to make the judges believe we are doing more than we actually have. And I believe we have done a pretty good job of it so far.
Thank you to everyone who has wished us the best of luck and that have sent their congratulations to us as well. I also ask that if you have anything negative you would like to say about my kids, please send it to me directly at nelson@cheergyms.com. My kids worked very hard to be where they are at and I don't believe they deserve to have their accomplishments taken away from them.

For those that know who the original Worlds Watcher is, I did not post this message. Anyone can use an anonymous name. Looks like I need to pick another one if someone else is going to use mine.
But I really like my anonymous. So maybe now I should be Worlds Watcher 1
We're at 35 which is the maximum you can have. If we were to experience injuries or other cases where we would have to use an alternate and need to replace that athlete from within our program.
Thanks Worlds Watcher I for clarifying that was a different person who did the negative post. I read this board frequently and it did seem weird to me that that comment would come from you. I feel better now.
