Reading Nelson's Thoughts on the Standout Athlete for Leah Kindig, almost made me cry. Even though i already did since she's leaving. She TOTALLY deserved it and i love her. She knows that though so enough with the mooshy stuff..
These Nelson's Thoughts were FANTASTIC! LOVE LOVE LOVE. but who doesn't? they are always awesome.
Congrats on Leah Kindig for getting Standout Athlete. I have never heard her say a bad word about anyone, and she is usually trying to encourage any person she is talking to. Kat and I will miss her not only for her amazing cheer skills but also for being that all around great person that she is.
I love reading Nelson's thoughts, look for them often. Hopefully it won't be as long for the next installment.
I am glad that more and more people are getting to benefit from knowing Leah Kindig. I have been saying the same things about her since she was in the 6th grade (Remember "The Little Mermaid" Leah?). WIth Leah's personality and talent it's no wonder she consistently wins "Best All Around" from her teammates each year, in each sport, and on each team she participates with.
I wish we could clone you Leah, not only do we get to watch you make tumbling look easy, but we get to work with an athlete who represents everything a coach looks for in a student. You have been tough over the last few months so take this time to rest your body....and finish those college apps :). I'll see you soon, love you girl!

Not only is she a good tumbler...but she can stunt like no other for sure...and For everyone who doesnt read magazines, Leah made the IC All-American team for inside cheerleading magazine with people from gym time, Top Gun, Miami Elite, Spirit of Texas...and i could go on for days...Leah Rocks!!!
Wow! Nelson!!!! you already made me cry my eyes out enough at the AB competition! I am honored to be your stand out athlete! This team was something new to me. I had never been on such a big coed team and also its my first year with Motions! Honestly i was way nervous for that first competiton, but after all our hard work the team put in all summer long...It paid off! This team is something words can't describe and let me tell you, i was devastated the day i found out about my ankle! When we won our second competiton this last weekend in Sacramento, i didn't want to leave! This is like a dream come true, i couldn't ask for more from a coach and all my teamates! I am going to miss each and everyone of you for these next 3 months, but i will come and visit no questions asked! This team is going places, and this is the year Motions Senior Maroon Qualifies for Worlds! All i have to say about that is that i will be there! I'm going to heal as quickly as possible and i will be back good as new!!! hey, you won't even notice i'm gone! lol ...and Nelson don't thank me, i want to thank you....you started this team and you will finish with us ...at Worlds! 30 something hours until surgery.... i'll keep everyone updated on my recovery ok hope to see you all soon!
Hey Leah, Good luck with your surgery. I know it's nerve-wracking!!
Congrats on yet another WELL DESERVED cheer honor. I remember when you were a freshman gymnast, wanting to be a cheerleader, what a transformation that first year was!! and its only been up from there. Reading Nelson's thoughts were like reading my own mind during my (honored) years as your coach. Coaches dream, for sure!!
I know if you approach the recovery from surgery the same way you approach your cheerleading and the rest of your life, you'll be back before you know it. Just take good care of yourself - those legs have to carry you for a loooong time!!
