I'm doing some development research for new programing on MTV and thought I'd put a posting up to see if you guys can help! Here are the shows I'm working on -
1. Cliques. We want to delve into the world of high school cliques. They're obviously a huge part of how young people survive the high school years - what would we do without our friends!? Do you have a unique clique at your school? Is there a group that has weekly sleepovers to go over the week's drama? Does the group have their own myspace page? What makes them stand out at the school? Think of the Mean Girls clique, but without the mean-ness. If you are in or know anyone in a tight knit group, I'd love to hear more about them.
2. Who's popular? Do you have a unique popular group at your school? Sure, there's the traditional popular football jocks and cheerleaders, but in some schools the cowboys rule the school! Do you have a group of "outsiders" who are on the inside? If so, please tell me more about them.
Thanks for all of your help! Again, these are not exactly shows yet so I can't answer questions re: specific formulas of the show. We're just looking into some ideas for the development department.
