They do not compete at this comp. the coaches do warm ups and john announces. Many power kids will prolly be walking around the comp though and watching. At least that's what I could tell at last years comp. Its run pretty well I had no complaints after being there last year. And the cash prizes are a great add to this years comp!
Never understood this... clubs not competing in a competition they host. We do it in gymnastics all the time and it is never perceived as a problem. The judges are independent professionals and do not care who hired them.
Personally I think this is a falsehood propagated by the Cheer companies to keep hold of the most profitable end of our sport. Funny thing is that the clubs create the customers they need yet the clubs are the least profitable part of the cheer industry.

We have hosted are own competition for years and the way we work it is: Our teams exhibition and the parents work the competition. It is usually a fun event.
