thats kind of a hard thing to judge now since the season hasnt even started yet, but i guess the teams that i "expect" to be good would be southbay sr coed and jr coed, airborne coed, power i think all girl im not sure what theyre going but i know they will be awesome, and maybe motions if their stunts catch up to the awesome tumbling they have
is there any tems that anyone has heard that are gunna be good that isn't ALWAYS mentioned in such topics as these....? [(not that these teams arent awsome!)] but i just wanna see if there are anymore teams out there....
what happened to santa rosa elite, they were good last year and no one ever talks about them anymore! well i think they will be in the top 5 probably...anyone know what division they are going?
Top 5 in northern California (based on rumor, hear say, message boards)
no particular order
1. Pyramids jr. Advanced 2. Airborne small coed 3. pyramids lg. coed 4. Power ( I think large all girl) 5. South Bay elite coed
Honorable Mentions Motions- Large coed Power- Jr. prep ( There jr. prep teams are always good) 720 - sr. prep (heard good things about their sr. prep) Cheer Divas- good coaches and jrs. were pretty strong South Bay- jr. coed is always amazing
Up and coming programs , again from rumor alone. These teams are pretty good and might take some titles this year.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but the former program director of Santa Rosa Elite started Airborne and most of the kids in that program are now there.
Hello to the Airborne director from the OC!!! (she will know what I'm talking about!) It was soooo nice to meet you! It was a great surprise and we hope to run into you again!
You can't pick top 5 yet.. No one has done anything yet! Sure you might hear that Motions Coed has 54 double fulls.. Or SBE Jr Coed is quadrupling out of every stunt.. Or Power's Jr. Preps have full squad standing doubles.. But thats all people talking themselves up.. And all 3 of those teams might bomb on the mat! There's more to a "Top Team" then the skills everyone hears they can throw.. Its about how you perform when the pressure is on you.. Its about what you put on the mat and what you can show the judges.
There's nothing on the score sheet that says.. "This what they can do during practice." And there really isn't anything that says.. "This is what PEOPLE SAY they can do during practice."
Wishing all the NorCal teams good luck this year.. -Amac
These top 5 teams thing has been "played out" (using old people slang).
Let's try this; which Nor Cal competitions are going to be the best and why?
Here's my list:
1. Cheergyms.com Spirit Spectacular (It's in February, right before some of the big Nationals. We'll get to see everyone's National level routines right before they put them on)
2. GSSA Nationals (the only competition in Nor Cal with a bid. That "Super 6" comp is going to be crazy)
3. AB Nor Cal Championships (always putting on a good show, AB will continue to be the early Winter competition to see here in Nor Cal)
I completely agree, it is all based on hersay and rumor. Its also based on the fact that those teams competed at cheer jam in the summer. Good luck to everyone really. From the way everyone is talking its going to be fierce at every competition.
Well, this is all a matter of opinion of last year. I agree with the most who say that this is a new year with new teams. I think we will have to wait and see. I am really excited to see what everyone has to bring to the mat. I have no doubt that the powerhouses of Nor Cal will once again bring a new level to the floor. Go Nor Cal!!!
To "cheer fan," thanks for the compliment. We are trying really hard to step up our tumbling this year. We hired a really good tumbling coach and hopefully we will be able to be compared to the stronger tumbling teams of the area in a matter of a few years (hopefully this year).
Airborne is run the the old Santa Rosa Elite Director. It is a combination of Santa Rosa Elite cheerleaders and Sonoma County Cheer University Cheerleaders. It is located in Petaluma. Allstar cheerleading is just starting to boom over in that area. It has really picked up momentum! So, I am sure Airborne will be a force to be reckoned with!
I think everyones top 5's sound good! I think that the Junior Advanced team from pyramids will be great along with Power's Large Seniors.
For the person that asked about Santa Rosa Elite and what division they are in: They have one team that is competing Small Senior Level 3. I bet they will be good....they seem to have picked up alot of ex gymnast.
True, it's hard to rank not seeing anyone yet. Can't base it on rumors and message boards. But Power and South Bay Elite always dominate; it'll be fun to see what they can do this year.
I agree POWER and SOUth BAy always seem to surpirse everythim they take the floor. I just can;t wait to see what surprises are going to come from them this year. I can't wait for the season to start it is going to crazy and insane this season espeically everyone out for a bid to worlds.
Well thanks for putting two of our teams in the top 5!! were working hard this year and you all are going to be very surprised when you see our routines this year!! Its a new Season a new southbay!!! See you all at comps!! GOOD LUCK!!
