Level 5 Description

Date:

Different comps have different descriptions for level 5 even though most are the same because of newer regulations.... but here are the basics...

The differences between levels 4 and 5

4 tumbling:standing bhs allowed but no standing bhs to a back tuck allowed. No toe touch standing tucks, etc. No consecutive flip-flop combinations. No twisting tumbling allowed in either standing or running tumbling.

5 tumbling: 1 flipping and 2 twisting tumbling allowed. Standing tumbling into tucks allowed.

4 stunting: during transitions, one base must remain in contact with flyer. 1 1/4 twist only down from a one leg stunt. 2 1/4 twist from a two leg stunt. Flips not allowed.

5 stunting: traditional stunts may involve changing bases. 2 twists allowed from single leg stunts.

Of course these are just basics but it gives you an idea of the differences. If you ever have any questions of what is allowed at any particular competition, the guidelines are normally posted on that competitions website. This is something that your coaches should know before competing but it has been known for things to be overlooked at some competitions. Double checking never hurt anyone.

Well, just don't attempt that in Atlanta... you'll get in trouble....

And like I said, different competitions have different rules.... I was particularly looking at Atlanta....

I thought the new rules were across the board and the country? I believe Atlanta would fall under that catagory. Check the website (usasf) mentioned in post earlier to get the correct information of the new rules of the levels.

the website mentioned above didnt work. I got the info straight from the Atlanta site..... maybe you might want to read it. Not every competition abides by the same rules..... just ask your coach.
