when you talk about the top five teams in NOR CAL, are you talking about the gym as a whole? or are you specifically talking about an idividual team within its gym?
if you are talking about a team individually, i dont think you can really compare last year to this year. some of the teams that are at the top of the list arent even the same team. i cant speak for power, american, pyramids, or south bay, but motions for example doenst have an advanced small senior team this year, its coed. personally i dont think last year matters at all...
POWER PYRAMIDS Motions South Bay Elite Santa Rosa Elite
*Based on last year....because no one has seen any of the teams this year. All 5 of these programs have numerous national titles due to amazing performances and have competed (and kept up) with some of the biggest cheerleading gyms in the nation. I know Santa Rosa went to UCA and got 2nd...POWER of course to WORLDS...PYRAMIDS made finals in Dallas against some prestigous teams....Motions Small Seniors beat AMERICAN Large Seniors at Americas Best Spiritleader nationals (it was just a Sr Open division)...South Bay Jr Coed rocked the house at the American Showcase getting 2nd behind World Cup Starlites...If anyone can argue why these programs dont stand out and represent northern california as one the top 5 programs....I definately would like to hear it....with some support to your statement. Not trying to start a riot, just making peoples minds fire up and REALLY THINK about who the top 5 programs in Nor Cal are. Cheers!!
I also agree with "coaches" picks. I know that alot of times we only look at the top level teams meaning level 5 but there were many Nor Cal teams that were great this year. I am just trying to say that Level 2-4 teams can be awesome too!
But to stay on the topic, Here are my picks in addition to what coach said:
1. Southbay Junior Coed 2. Pyramids Junior Intermediate ( Great Routine!!!!!) 3. Santa Rosa Elite Large Junior Novice ( it was novice but they rocked that routine!) 4. Power Senior Prep 5. Pyramids Small Senior Advanced
obviously alot can change in a year.....kids leave and add coaches change and what not.....I am so excited for AB in November to see all the new routines! Oh and by the way, check out Airborne this year! Our coach is the old director at Santa Rosa Elite! We are gonna rock!
Power Jr.Preps were great....I here that Power's Large Senior Level 5 is gonna be great and from what I understand Southbay's Senior Coed is going to come out of the gates strong! But we will never know until they compete! Goodluck everyone!
Teams I think will be strong this year: Motions coed All american team Power senior level 5 Southbay Jr coed 5 Southbay Sr coed 5 cant wait for this year!
I wish I could vote on this years teams, but unless I am sitting in the gym of each team, I cannot make that assumption. So it HAS to be based on last year..... too many changes happen. One year you're the best, the next people get hurt, coaches leave, kids move up, etc.......
So they would be assumptions at best. And we all know what happens when people assume....
i think the teams this year that you will need to watch out for are:
South Bay Jr Co-Ed and Sr Co-Ed(I think both level 5) Pyramids Jr Red and Sr gold(Level 5 and 4) Motions Sr Co-Ed Maroon(Level 5) CheerAirborne CoEd(level 5) POWER Lrg Sr and Juniors(level 5 and 4)
