going back to this...

Do you really think that teams from texas or anywhere else are going to come to like USA nationals?

Some teams from california wont go to competitions like JAMZ because if they want to get a bid, they want it from a higher competition like UCA.

Dont you think it will be the same case for the teams in texas? Wont they want a bid from NCA or CHeersport not from USA?

What do you guys think?

Texas Lonestar did win there bid to Worlds last year at USA Nationals, so it proves that a bid is a bid.

A bid is a bid....No matter from what company!!! I think we can expect a lot of out of state teams to venture out to the west coast and compete for the bids out here. There are no rules or limitations that say they cant. Texas Lonestar got their bid from USA nats 2 years in a row, I think thats going to start being the trend...see you all on the mat!

Funny how one would think that a gym wouldn't go to worlds if they didn't have a chance to win it. Does anyone realize what you have to do to GET a bid? It's an honor to even win that bid let alone go to worlds where you compete against only the best. Football teams don't go into the playoffs thinking "why are we here, we won't win anyway. Let's just stay home." ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. Worlds is IT, baby. If you're not there, then you're not "there" yet.... Having a negative attitude before you even get a bid will just get you NOTHING.....

I am sorry if i came off negative in anyway. that wasnt the point of the question at all. we all know there are more and less prestigious cheerleading companys. i was simply wondering if teams that are used to geting 3rd and 4th at nca are gonna have the "will" to go to a competition like JAMZ just to win. we all know there are dozens of nca teams that could hang at the competitions on the west coast and probably win. Personally i do not think that those teams will want to go to jamz simply because if they want a bid, i bet they will want it from a 'bigger' company. but thats just me. everyone is entitiled to their opionions

I'm not sure that I agree. I think that it is goign to be a challegen this year. I think that everyone is going to at it this year to get that bid. I don't think that it would matter where it comes from just at it is a bid and the teams that get know what they are doing and are able to fight to try and win or at least taste at 2nd or 3rd palce. You are right about thing though everyone is entitled to their own opioin.

When you all have a contract with JAMZ to attend all of their competitions, will your scores be base on your talent and ability, or will it be on the fact that you have a contract with them and bring them a lot of money???? I have loved the sport of cheerleading sense I was five and it makes me sick to see what it is coming too. I think that Worlds was an awesome thing to create, but not when large gyms can bully their way around with their check books.

It's the TEAMS overall score. They don't send a "gym" they send a "team"

I know it's a "TEAM". But the larger gyms bring in a lot of money, therefore, companies want to reward them so they keep coming back.

What a horrible thing to say!!

I know my daughter works her butt off, she goes into practices when her back is hurting, she's not feeling so well or there are many other activities she could be attending. Yes, she loves it, so I don't even have to ask if she'd rather attend her cousin's birthday. But to imply that her & her team (who also work just as hard while making as many sacrifices) don't deserve the scores they get is just incredibly mean!

I can only hope that you are not an adult, and therefore haven't the full maturity to think about what you are saying or WHERE you are saying it. Many kids of all ages read this message board and don't need to have that kind of garbage put into their heads!

I was reading it as someone throwing out a random thought until they wrote, "but not when large gyms can bully their way around with their check books." That statement is negative and is indictative of their true feelings, which is not curiosity(sp?).

I am not sure if this goes on, but I have heard of this before, where big gyms or organizations get higher scores because they write one big check to the organization so to keep them coming back they reward them with good scores. Again, i am unsure if this is true but i have heard it from some pretty reliable sources. If this is not true it's a horrible rumor, but if it is, it's a pretty low thing to do.
