How come we have both a World Championship and a World Cup ?

Today I was rewatching the 2009 Gymnastics Worlds and the 2009 Figure Skating Worlds and it made me think about something. We all want cheerleading to get the respect it derserves and for cheerleading to get into the Olmypics. Watching the worlds make me think about cheerleading and why do we have more then one world championship ? We have the one is Flordia, There's one in Germany, and we have the ICU World Cup that's also held in Flordia. I just really don't understand why we have all of these. Have we ever sent a team to the World Championships in Europe before ? Now here's what confuses me. We have the "World Championships" in Flordia and we also have a "World Cup" in Flordia.  Why don't they just make the " World Championships" kind of like a qualification type thing. Who ever places like top 5 or whatever get to go to the " World Cup ". I don't understand why we have both competitons. Also how come the teams that go the world cup call their teams the " National Team" shouldn't they be called the " World Team" ? Also I don't understand why they have the "World Cup" in Flordia ?! At the same place of the cheerleading championships. I personally think they should have it somewhere else. Heck even go to a different country. Like Japan. They love Cheerleaders and cheerleading. and the crowds are amazzing. Or even our neighbor to the North, Canada ! Something to make it actually seem like a World Cup, not just a regular competetion.  So what's your opinion on this ?

See Japan would be the PERFECT place for the World Cup They LOVE Cheerleading and Cheerleaders.

The difference is that in the World Championships, club teams compete. There can be (and are) multiple teams from multiple countries.

In the ICU World Cup, there is one team representing each country.
