On Wednesday June 15th , current Airbourne All star, Carlie Seitz was admitted to the pediatric ward at Kaiser Hospital in Santa Rosa , Ca. Earlier in the week Carlie had attended practice and complained of a pain in her hip. We assumed she may have pulled a muscle and treated as such. Yet on Wednesday she was not at practice and her brother Cameron also a member of our program let me know that she was admitted into the hospital due to intense pain in the same hip that was bothering her on Monday.
I have been Carlie's coach for three years and I can count her absences on one hand so I new that something was not right. The health care professionals began looking for the root of her pain and after 48 hours of no such luck Carlie took a turn for the worse, having a hard time breathing on her own as well as her blood pressure dropping dangerously low. At this point the attending physician had discovered that she was suffering from a bacterial infection but still had not pinpointed the cause.
We are asking that you keep Carlie in your thoughts and Prayers. If you have recieved this email it is because I either know you socially or Professionally or maybe because I knew that you could help us spread the word for Carlie. If you know Carlie or want to show her your support I will be collecting card and well wishes at our gym everyday and bringing them to her at the hospital. Many people say that the power to overcome something starts with the will to do so. Carlie is one of the strongest kids I know. She is going into her Junior year this fall and has set her sites on cheering at the college level. She has a relentless spirit that never gives up. She is the driving force with her teammates and now we need you to help drive her to recovery. Thank you for taking the time to educate yourself on this topic and taking time out of your day to think of Carlie and her family.

Thank you for your support with Carlie and her family. We are compiling a book of poems, thoughts, emails and prayers for Carlie to be able to turn to on her long road back to recovery. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to send cards, emails and notes for Carlie. They are all hanging up in her hospital room and have turned a dreary place into a room of color. All of your thoughts and prayers have been definetly helping Carlie. She is still in ICU but the healthcare professionals have had nothing but positives about her condition. Keep her in your thoughts and soon enough we will see you at Summer Jam!
