A short day but still some good matchups. Nice to see Jamz lower the admission fee for spectators to $10 (isnt it usually $15)? Cant wait to see how everyone does, good luck to all the gyms.

Time to kick off the season. YEAH! Will there be a all-level bid given away at this competition? Does anyone have an predictions who might get the first bid? My daughter came home from practice last night with a nervous worried energy about her. There is some serious excitement in this house.

Today's Comp recap my opinion only!! You could tell that this was the 1st competition for almost all the teams. BUT overall it was a good competition. A lot of dropped stunts and teams that didn't execute at the top of their levels... SKILL WISE that is. You can certainly tell that there will be a lot of talented squads this season as the year goes on:)

The most disappointing level for me personally was level 4. I thought it would be a stronger level. All Star elite was great though. Not taking away from the other squads, just was expecting so much more with this level. Again, it IS early in the season.

Some of the gyms that stood out to me personally:
1. Edge all stars looked great accross the board. I've never seen them compete before, but heard great things about them and they did well at this competition.
2. All star elite looked strong and good
3. Cheer experiene did awesome in level 3. I didn't see their other team
4. all the mini and tiny teams were fun to watch
5. alpha and omega looked good too. A few dropped stunts but they will be a strong team
6. Cheer Odyssey, I don't remember much about them, But they seemed to do well
7. Star struck did good
8. Cheergyms and Motions were decent. You always expect them to just blow everyone out of the water, but it wasn't the case. Saying this in a positive way from both sides. Meaning, it is good to see that other gyms are stepping up and giving them a run for their money. AND that I have the utmost respect for this orginzation and they are just a good program all around. Level 3 Pyramids won the choreography award. Woo hoo

Jamz had a problem with the music equipment and it was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. But ALL the teams did great and rolled with it.

Awards were typical of Jamz as we watched their staff dance and parade around the stage. But it wasn't as long as it usually is. You have to always appreciate how much the kids love their staff. So as a parent, you just endure the talent show lol.

Overall this was a good 1st comp and I can hardly wait to see some of the other gyms this season to see what they bring to the floor.

From what I remember...
Starstruck, Cheer experience, all star elite all have new uniforms.
Im guessing alpha and omega is getting new uniforms too. They were in shorts and
t- shirt.
Gymstars may have had new unis too smile

I agree , Edge rocked and was by far a great competitor! Odessey was amazing also.. This year will prove again that the talent is amazing and will rock the cheer world! Great job to all that competed today at JAMZ! smile

Have you daughter just chill out! No competition is worth the stress- Cheer leading is too be fun and full of great energy not about the stress! You should really have your daughter re-evalaute why she cheers if it brings her so much added stress!
