Nor Cal Victory Cup - November 15, 2009

Howdy Everyone

We have posted online a complete list of teams and divisions of everyone whom has registered thus far.  We will continue to update the list daily as more teams register.  Currently we have over 1400 All-Star Cheerleaders registered.  Parents need not worry about sitting through Youth Football, High School, or Dance teams performances, as this is an All-Star Cheer ONLY Event.

Part of the prceeds from the door will go to the Special Needs Cheerleading Camp for 2010.  Our goal is to raise enough money to pay for ALL Special Needs Athletes in Northern California that wish to attend the camp, at no cost to their families.

To see who has registered thus far go to powercheerallstars.com and click the Nor Cal Victory Cup Banner.

If your organization wishes to attend this event please email me at powercheer@aol.com, deadline to register is October 31, 2009.

Cheers
JOHN

Howdy Everyone

Just a few Q & A before this weekend's events

Q - What time do the doors open

A - 8 AM

Q - is there any saving seats

A - Really???  Any person that has ever attended a cheer competition will know the answer to that LOL

Q- Is there a discount for young children

A - yes 3 and under will be free.  If they are old enough to cheer they are old enough to pay.

Q - Is there going to be video and photography at the event

A - Yes RT Productions will be doing both, however you are more than welcome to video tape and take photography on your own

Q - Will there be spectator viewing

A - Yes everyone will actually get to be down on the floor for all of your gym's performances.  I would suggest rooting sections getting ready 4 squads prior to your teams performance.  Rooting sections will be using the same Getting Ready, On Deck, and now performing order.  As each rooting section exits the floor a new rooting section will take its spot.  ALL ROOTING SECTIONS WILL ENTER FROM THE MAIN ENTRANCE.  They will then proceed to either side of the judging stage.  Once your team has competed you will exit the main floor out either side.

Q - Where will the music station be

A- The music station will be located on the Judges Stage.  A member from your organization must press play and stop, as our DJ will not be permitted to

Q - Will there be spotters

A - NO, for safety reasons we will not be providing spotters.  If your team needs spotters, coaches of your organization will be permitted to be on the floor.  However, they may not count, verbally command, or assist in the stunting.

Q - Will there be vendors

A - Yes there will be vendors at the event from Nfinity, Varsity, and apparel by the same company that does all of the GSSA events.

Q - Will you post scores online after the event
A - Yes all scores will be posted online Monday Afternoon.  They will include a complete breakdown from each judge and each section of the score sheet.  This will allow all of you parents that suffer from PMS (Psycho Mom Syndrome) to figure out why your team won or lost biggrin

I am looking forward to an outstanding event.  Be sure to be on the lookout for our 50/50 drawing with proceeds going to the Northern California All-Star Alliance Scholarship Fund.

Mark your calendars for next year on the same weekend.  I have already booked the venue!!!

Cheers

JOHN

The venue was way to small.  Had a problem trying to find a place to sit.  In the future we will have to get there early.  Our group was spread out over the entire place.
