To be blunt, it's usually places where the owners know the kid that they are sponsoring. No easy answers. All you can do is prepare a good reason why someone should provide sponsorship and then ask.

Try your dentist, your doctor, people that insure your autos, boats, house, your aunts, uncles, grandparents, attorneys. Local construction, insurance agencies, real estate, people use to be really good, but with the current ecomony doing so badly that could be more of a problem. Good luck!
