We are currently the 2nd largest regional meeting in the country. We only need 15 more coaches to attend to become the largest. With us being the ONLY 1st year Regional Meeting, it sends a message loud and clear to the rest of the country, we (Nor Cal) are invested in our gyms, our industry, and pretty darn organized!!!
If you would still like to attend the meeting at the Sacramento Sheraton Grand July 25 & 26, 2009 you can do the following.
Email me at powercheer@aol.com today (Thursday) OR, show-up to the Sheraton Saturday AM around 8:30 AM.USASF will still be offering the $55 rate for those that walk-up and register.Yes, there will be NO Late registration fees if you attend.
John, Tegan is supposed to remind the attendees that they should feel free to contact me to provide us with ideas/concerns/compliments/thoughts/questions, etc. about the Parents Action Committee. Please feel free to provide them with my email (bill.presson@gmail.com) and my cell number as well.
The conference held in Sacramento was very successful. We had numerous gyms from the Northern California All Star Alliance in attendance. My guess was there was about 50 people there sharing ideas. There were many topics covered including gym profitability by Cheryl Pasinato from East Elite. She had some great insight and shared her many experiences with the attendees. John Hebert did a presentation on the USASF website and how we can fully utilize it. Tegan Reeves went over the benefits of membership with the USASF and Les Stella did a wonderful presentation on the rules. I think most of the attendees would agree that each session offered some great and very useful information. On the second day the attendees gathered and had some great conversations during a Q & A with the speakers that was very beneficial. It was great to have the USASF host it's regional meeting in Sacramento. The Northern California All Star Alliance has been bringing gyms together to work towards common goals and it was a wonderful opportunity for the members of the NCAA and the USASF to share ideas. It was my sense that each gym learned alot about the USASF. There was great exchanges of ideas about bringing more special needs teams to the All Star Industry. My overall sense was that the attendees left the conference with more knowledge about the USASF and how we as gym owners can utilize the programs they have put into place to better our gyms, our programs, our athletes and the All Star Industry. I also feel that the attendees fully appreciated participating in the process and very thankful that the meeting was held in Sacramento. John, from POWER played a large role in coordinating the meeting and the NCAA through our resources was able to really get the word out that the meeting was taking place and encouraged all of their members to participate.
How exciting to see the NCAA growing so quickly. YES JOHN IS AMAZING and wears many hats in this industry. GREAT JOB TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE INVOLVED WITH THE BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE NCAA. Looking forward to another great year of competitions because of it
