Just wanted to let you know how excited I am to be starting my 4th year coaching the Notre Dame cheerleading team from Belmont, CA. This will be the 2nd year the Varsity team has been a Team Focus team. We had an incredible year last year, placing first in a division of 10 at the USA Regional at Tokay H.S. and then placing 2nd out of 22 team at the USA H.S. Nationals a little ahead of our good friends and Team Motions team, Wilcox H.S., the 2004 National Champions.
We've started off this new year with a bang! We had a record of 88 girls signed up to cheer for the program at Notre Dame and we've ended up with 44 girls that will be placed on either the Varsity or the Junior Varsity teams after 2 more stunting and tumbling practices/evaluations.
The Varsity team will be attending the CHEERGYMS.COM Team Camp in late June. We are very excited about this camp, it's going to be amazing!

Hey Morgan, It's so great that we TEAM cheergyms have our own message board. Soquel is starting their third year with cheergyms and I am very excited to see how all the teams do! It's really fun to see and cheer on and get to know the other cheergyms high school teams. Now all the cheerleaders will get a chance to get to know each other online, too. Have a great season!!

Now you know I couldn't go without responding to Morgan's little email that he posted. Yes, you finished a little ahead of Wilcox --um' let me see.......exactly .6 points ahead of us at Nationals! Okay - so it's on!! (of course with Nelson's help!!!!) (hehehehehe)
We had one tryout already and our team currently has 18 members. We are having our Last Chance Tryouts in June which I hope to add numerous more!
This is our 3rd year with Team Motions. We LOVE every minute of it. We've been so successful, it's been the best decision for the Wilcox Cheerleading program.
