Anyone heard of Fever?

I know last season there was a HUGE discussion and apparent opposition of new gyms in EG, now there are signs around town about a gym called FEVER. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it. I think it's someone who coached youth, but other than that not sure of what other experience the owner has, Anyone?

They have a website that is up...I believe it is Fevercheer.com???? They are one of the newest gyms involved in the Nor Cal Allstar Alliance and seem to be very excited for this new gym to get started! Goodluck to them!

wow less than $1,600 for the season?! (not including tumbling & travel)

Does your gym only provide service for 9 months or for an entire year?  i just reviewed the website and the gym hasn't scheduled structured practices yet.  it looks like their season will reallly start some time in july.   if you really look at the cost it's a bit high for a 9 month service.

i also noticed that everyone must fundraise and if you don't participate in the fundraising effort you have to pay the buy out fee.  i wonder what the buy out fee is?  that definitely changes the price structure.   i guess it's important to read all the details before signing up at a gym.

can anyone tell me if the gym has certified coaches and is the gym certified?  do they have everything they need to be a up to par gym?  maybe someone in the NCAA can let us know?  is it a requirement to have a certified gym to be a member of the NCAA?  this brings up lots of questions and things to ponder now.  hummmmmm

I just looked at the site as well and it doesn't mention any type of certifications so that does make you go hmmm. In looking at the forms it says the gym is at one location but on the site it's another location which is in the same parking lot as another gym, and around the corner from another gym, kind of weird not sure why they would want to be in such close proximity to two other gyms.

Thanks Nicole! It was a pleasure to finally meet you!  We have been watching and admiring your teams for some time now.

The NCAA is a great program and is doing amazing things. I encourage all who are interested to join.

Thanks everyone for your interest in Fever All-Stars. I can assure you that all coaches are USASF certified and are qualified to be instructing the teams and levels they are working with.  We are a year round program. We do schedule team stunt practices and conditioning/open gym time during the summer months (May June and July) and our families enjoy the flexible time.

If we have any other questions regarding Fever All-Stars we encourage you to give us a call or stop by our gym.  The best way to get your information is from the source or from seeing with your own eyes.

Thanks and from everyone at Fever we wish you a safe and successful 2009-2010 season!

That could be said for a lot of coaches and gym owners.

This was just said because he hit a nerve with the coaching staff or maybe even exposed some truth?

Now that the divisions have been tightened down with the elimination of OPEN teams.  The competition just got a whole lot tougher and deeper.  It's going to be a challenge for lots of new and small gyms to stay up with the competition this season.

Wishing this gym and every other gym luck this season.

Makes no sense.  The teams are all open now with the exception of level 5.  They're just not called open.  Right?  So I don't know why you think the competition just got a whole lot tougher and deeper(?).  Or why the new and small gyms will be challenged.  Just makes no sense to me.hmmconfuse

The competition just got tougher and deeper (more teams per division) because there is no longer the splitting of divisions into open and non open, thank goodness. Typically you had more in the open division anyway. Should be an exciting season.

We will have to see what her teams abilities will be at this year. It should be interesting to see which of the two teams in that parking lot will come out on top performance and technique wise. I am going with Edge.
