I think Top Gun is way better, but they didnt hit. So CA deserved that win

CA had two people hit doing a two touch in the back and fell to the floor. Don't know how you missed that

and the front tumbler ran out of steam, big time!

As I stated in another thread, Top Gun was BEYOND AMAZING, however...Cali brought their "A game" to the floor both days and Top Gun didn't.

That's what made Cali the CHAMPIONS ... and they deserve it with no questions asked.

Though I like Top Guns routine more than CA (I <3 CA!). One thing that CA definitely does better then Top Gun is CA GIRLS CAN TUMBLE. There are not just stunters. They are well rounded cheerleaders.

it doesnt matter if Top Gun has won fifty million times lol just like stingrays who have won the last 4 yrs (i think) in sm sr or world cup ss the last 3.. if you're the best then your the best. period. it doesnt make the 2nd place team deserve it anymore.. you just have to go put your heart out on the floor which i believe both teams did.. and unfortunately had top gun been absolutely perfect like they have in the past, california wouldnt have our first gold (in my opinon).. but its okay cause like cj said.. you come back again and try next year

not taking anything away from cali though! i'd be on top of the world reguardless of peoples opinions if i were them because once you've won worlds you can say as a cheerleader you have achieved the biggest obstacle that will ever be thrown at you and thats an amazing amazing accomplishment! congrats guys <3

just remember, The definition of a champion is someone who brings their best to the floor. Every competition is a new day and there is no predetermined winner. If you drop you don't win that day. Period.

maybe CA had a touch on a double toe back...but that was there only problem!

TG had 2 bobbled stunts, a stunt DROP, 2 tumbling busts in the 16 punch front to fulls, and a pryamid bobble.

so in the end CALI was VERY sharp & clean. Not to mention they have just as much skill as TG.

YES my son Cameron was not the beasty amazing tumbler he usually is, he tore his calf muscle and was in tremendos pain when he performed both days! But he did the very best he could for himself and the team and that's all that matters. We won the gold. biggrin

well JUDGE&JURY i dont think it was handed! Why cant anyone be HAPPY?! its so disgusting for people *cough cough* to say NEGATIVE comments. Both of these Teams are AMAZING...they both have MAD respect for EACH OTHER and that is how TRU CHAMPIONS ACT.

I am happy for CA, but I would have loved to see the outcome if they had both hit. Oh wait, that was prelims. Congrats to CA, but I do kinda feel like top gun gave the trophy away. JMO

haha, you people are SO funny... its the name of the game... the team that hits in finals wins... thats why they get to do it twice.

TG hasn't always been on top. Cheer Athletics and Georgia are still around and are still strong. Next year could be a re-building year for top gun... oh how easy people forget... haha. Children.

After watching both videos a number of times, I'd have to say I agree with this as well. Nice to see the CA girls are present in the entire performance and not hidden in the back while the boys tumble. I think that fact and the clean routine is what won it for CA.

Nothing was "handed" if there wasn't one to give! Top Gun was very good ... but CA nailed it both days! Congrats CA!!!! Well deserved.

I think this year, lots of Gold was given away (sarcasm). There were so many mistakes according to these boards. It sounds like there were a good number of teams that didnt perform up to their normal standard. But that's what made the playing field equal this weekend. No one and no team is perferct...not even Top Gun (and yes, I love TG too). I have to give Cali props for keeping their nerves and pressure in check. They stuck it when it mattered most. End of story. Point blank...period! Time to accept the outcome and give credit where credit is due!

Congrats to ALL California teams and Congrats to CA Bullets for many jobs well done. So proud of you!

Now, as for the naysayers - tune in next year. Those who earned trophies will return to defend (or regain) titles. They just put a little steam back in this cheer locomotive. Unpredictable! I can't wait!
