What happend to the description of the word ROLE MODEL?  Anyone working with youth needs to have a clean slate. 

With myspace, facebook, twitter, information spreads so quickly.  While I don't have a problem with playboy and the girls next door is a show I watch from time to time; and good for them pursing a great financial start in life..... but would I want any of them coaching an all-star or school team?  Absoutley not! 

There are enough problems with cheerleading being perceived as too sexy, with uniforms barely covering body parts to choreography movements to song lyrics.  AND what about the perverts sitting in the stands video taping cheerleaders "parts", can you imagine if the coach was known for posting nude was also coaching the team?  This happened in Santa Barbara and Oxnard High Schools last season (the coaches did not pose nude, but the teams were video taped).  This was on the evening news and in the paper. 

I think this is right up there with the male coach that performed iwith a partner in a x-rated video for men.  This person was let go from two gyms after the owners found out (too bad the first gym didn't make the second gym aware), then he went to a third gym; the owner of this gym knowing the complete history.

Another example of what is a role model these days?

I just want to say what has been going on, i go to the school, Casa Roble, and i have previously cheered there along with other allstar gyms. I, along with a few other experienced cheerleaders, was denied the right to try out because of a few minor attendance mistakes The few of us are also very active members in student government and have quality grades. We were also warned about cleaning up our myspaces and facebook as this all goes with the represetation of a high school cheerleader. Like any cheer parent i know would do, they obviously fought the fac t that we couldnt cheer for the fact that we didnt have perfect attendance. A few of our parents went and met multiple times with our principals but they didnt budge. As a last resort one of the parents wanted to prove a point by sharing the pictures of the naked cheer coach to our principal. He didnt even know it was the cheer coach. She was fired the first day of tryout clinic causing tryouts to be postponed, and we still cant try out. So this all started from a few girls who love cheer asnd just wanted to cheer.
