I have been coaching for years but new to the California scene. I have a great group of 1st years cheerleaders and we are planning to compete next season. I am looking for competitions at a great price, great program that also gives great gifts (like Cheersport). Any suggestions are welcome. We are in Northern California, we have a Teenies team (5-8yrs), and a Jr. Coed team (9-13yrs), all Level One

Small competitions are always the best to start out with and theres several of those in California like cheerpros spirit club international cheerjam cheersport (not the nationals) COA and Jamfest
If they do well at those then take them to some nationals like USA and spirit Sports and GSSA in san jose...
I could be wrong but I don't think you will find much competition for Jr. Coed Lev 1, especially at small competitions. So that might be tricky because you want families to get their money's worth by paying to compete. It might be a good idea to look at some websites, check out their schedules and results to see what the popular divisions are. Maybe you could make some adjustments and shoot for a different division? Good luck to you guys.
We have a JR lev 1. I love taking them to small and large competitions. We love JAMZ, Cheersport and GSSA. They love going to competitions where all the "big" teams are, POWER, Cheergyms, Airborne, One Athletics etc. They love watching the higher level teams. I think its a great experience for them. Don't limit yourself to small comps. Get your name out there. Attend the big competitions with the big teams!!
