Here's the thing........... It may not be "Worlds"
But "Worlds" to me was a joke.... the money was insane, I paid over $800 for a DORM ROOM and still had to share it with 3 other people.... Then my daughter's team didn't even go to the second day...$800 room, $700 plane tickets, $300 food and travel expenses, FOR ONE DAY!!
I am so happy they are taking charge of this huge "WORLDS" racket because it should be illegal, our gym has a bid and I hope we go. Once you have the "WORLDS" experience you will be over it too.
ah you're crazy worlds was the best experience of my life! and i'm definitely NOT over it
as for the all level "worlds" it's really annoying how it's called that becasue we remain the only team from nevada to ever even get a bid to worlds and now other gyms are saying that they're going to worlds...but it's not worlds worlds!
i support the lower level teams but wish it was called something else!
Personally, and I'm not going to lie. It does bother me a little bit when they say they are going to worlds. But on the other hand, to say "we got a bid to the international all-level championship" is quite a mouthful. So I can understand why. No matter what you wanna call it, its something not everyone will get the chance to attend. Congrats to all those who have received that invitation.
Usually I am the positive peggy girl and not negative nelly... But I have to say almost everyone gets a bid to this competition. This reminds me of an orginization now who gives bids to every single team basically that competes with them. I know it's not a big deal, but I personally feel this competition is just another competition. Just larger. I can understand the concept, but to say you got a bid and to call it world's is pushing it some.
We will not attend this season until we get feedback to say it is worth the travel and cost and all the hype.
To make this competition legit as the best of the best for the different levels. Teams need to meet a specific score not just place in the top 3 at a competition to earn a bid.
My opinion only :)

i TOTALLY agree with the score thing.. there are teams that have gotten bids only because they competed where there were only 3 teams in their divsion including them, so they are gonna get one.
a certain high score should determine that..
and calling it worlds.. why not? only the level 5 teams get to have a worlds..
yeah it might not be technically called worlds, but why not? the lower divisions should be able to look forward to a "worlds" competition also.
im sure the international all level champ. competition will get better as the years go by.. like you have to have a certain score to go and all that.
why taking the spotlight for the teams under level 5 ?! i know alot of teams that are really great that arent level 5 and deserve to be this, sorry we dont have a real WORLDS but at least let the kids that deserve this say that there going to worlds. seriously.....

Thank you! not everyone is going to be able to go to worlds someday! leave this kids alone!
Oh hey guys...wanted you all to know I'm going to the Olympics!!! Well actually me and my brothers are gonna see how far we can throw a shotput in my backyard but we're calling it "The Olympics"! Little sarcasm to lighten the mood ;)

Seriously. I can't run very fast, so if I have a competition between me and my two brothers where we run down to the corner and bac, can I say that I went to the Olympics? Don't say no, it might hurt my feelings.
i completely agree with the person that said this!
there is a lot of talent in teams that aren't level 5 and quite honestly there are some amazing lower level teams out there
i believe this as well. There are a lot of lower level teams that work just as hard if not harder then some of the level 5 teams out there. It reflects in their performances and placements and they should be rewarded for them. I honestly think the posts made by Danny and cheerfan are quite ignorant and i dont find the humor in then. As coaches and gym owners you know level 5 teams arent the ones busting their butts to be successful. PS-worlds has lost most of its prestige anyways. Bids should be cut way back so it is actually the best teams attending...not just all level 5 teams.
The All Levels Championships gives the "other teams" a championship for them to work towards. Teams earn their invitation. Level 5 goes to Worlds and that is great. This All Level Championships is giving the rest of the cheer teams in "your gym" something to work hard for. Get over yourself and cheer your team mates on. Their successes and dreams will not get in the way of yours.
I feel like anytime something new/different comes along people always want to rain on the parade before it even starts. gezze. I mean everyone is very much entitled to their own opinion, but it hasn't even happend yet. Let this year go by first and then everyone can form their own pro/con clubs.
Who knows, it very well could be a disaster and waste of time. Or everyone might be totally surprised and it might be amazing. But at least go into it with an open mind.
