Royals, Swat, and Starstruck usually attend this comp also.

I just checked the schedule. you are right. those teams are at this jamz event again. why do they go to the jamz competitions over and over again? I thought you only needed to attend one regional to be able to go to their nationals? This is so confusing?
You need to attend only one Jamz regional in order to qualify, but if you attend more then those teams can receive additional comments from Jamz judges. It is actually very smart. Jamz does a good job of keeping the teams entertained. You don't get that at some of the other events.
im super excited for this comp. There are some great teams performing and every division has competition from mascots all the way up to seniors. So far this year, Jamz has given me the best judges feedback on what works and doesn't work in my routine. Since nationals are right around the corner, I really value and look forward to the judges critique of my routine. I know after this comp that my routine will only be stronger and better suited for nationals. Moreover, I like the teams that go to Jamz events. They keep getting better and keep our teams on their toes all season long. good luck everyone, can't wait to see you all this sunday =)
I have to agree the late performing and awards on a Sunday night kind of stinks! Especially since they are starting later in the morning 10:45 am.
that does pose a problem.
for the teams that regularly attend the jamz events do you attend other competitions? if so what other competitions? and if you don't attend other competitions how do you know if the feed back isn't available else where? I'm just trying to play the devils advocate here with this questions.

Coach B you always have the best perspective on things...can't wait to see your teams this weekend, they are all amazing!

Looking at this Jamz schedule I have seen some of these gyms at other more popular/populated competitions (like American Championships and GSSA); there are only one or two gyms I haven't seen at other non-Jamz competitions. I would think this is a good competition to attend right after the holidays; not too intense like the others I mentioned, and the feedback right before Nationals will be really helpful. Another reason gyms always tend to go to these are for cash prizes and bids maybe? Their Xtreme championships give every team something high to shoot for, regardless of how many or how few are in their division, which is nice.
To MyOpinionOnly, thanks, I was just trying to justify why some gyms routinely attend Jamz competitions. Having said that I still wish Jamz would combine at least two of their three regionals in Northern CA. Like other competitions I think they only need to have one regional in our area, especially if it appears the same gyms are attending all three. I think a better test of how your team is doing this season is to put it up against numerous talented teams, not just one (or worse yet, nobody).

Actually Abby, all the Jamz events have been a good size so far this season. The other events in Northern California haven't been as big other than American Championships. Jamfest wasn't very big this year and GSSA was about the same. Jamz events are just fun, which some of the other comps are. They must be doing something right because their one day events are very large. If your going to Jamz Nationals, then get as much Jamz judging as you can.

To XpressJag: I was curious and took a look at the Jamz schedule for this Sunday vs. the GSSA results that are posted. If you look at the number of teams in each division it can be a little misleading because GSSA has more divisions than Jamz, especially large/small and open/non open. But if you break it down by mini/youth/jr/sr and then level, you can see some significant differences and not by a small margin: (I'm leaving out the divisions where they both have an equally small amount)
Mini Level 1 - GSSA: 12 Jamz: 8 Youth Level 2 - GSSA: 8 Jamz: 3 Jr Level 2 - GSSA: 7 Jamz: 4 Sr Level 2 - GSSA: 15 Jamz: 7 Sr Level 3 - GSSA: 13 Jamz: 5 Sr Level 4 - GSSA: 9 Jamz: 6 Sr Level 5 - GSSA: 6 Jamz: 2
I think most would agree these are your most popular divisions. So I have to disagree with your statement that GSSA wasn't as big this year. I love Jamz Nationals, you'll always find plenty of competition there. But I feel they spread their regionals too thin by having too many in the same area. At least this particular one coming up has more competition than some of the others have had; good luck to all the teams attending.
