If you could add a division or take away a division?

EVEN THOUH THERE'S ALREADY TEN MILLION DIVISIONS...
What would you add? What would you get rid of?

I would add in 5.4.
Level 5 stunting with level 4 tumbling.
That would be a fun division to watch.
I think it would also become aN extremely competitive division.

Maybe Senior Level 1, I think it is a good building block but you dont see many of teams in that division.=)

You know i can't complain about the divisions much, because i think my daughter has been on every division throughout her cheer years. they have all been helpful for her gym at some time or another. I do agree that there are way too many division.
I would however like to see the numbers for small gym change. it is hard to put teams up against large gyms.

small gym should really be 50 members or less in a program
medium gym would be 51-100 members
large gym would be 100 plus in your program.

My opinion, this would allow small gyms to stay competitive and keep more doors open.
hey NCAA how about you bring this to the table. let's bring gym size and less divisons to the curcuit

I was reading your numbers for small, medium and large.  I think that 100 is to low to go large.  That might be the norm in Northern Cali but there are tons of states where many gyms are condsidered small and have 150 kids.  The one thing that I have learned is that you can enter the Small Gym catagory but sometimes it is more competitive then the regular divisions, it seems that small gyms sometimes do not field a level 5 team so to me Small Gym Senior 4 is the toughest division out there, especially in Dallas.

I agree with Nicole... It's difficult to put a CAP number on what's "small" and what's "large." It varies so greatly throughout the states that it would be difficult to please EVERYONE. But you could, and if you ask me, I would say that it's fair to say... Small = 150 members or less, Medium = 150-250, and Large = 250 +. I think that this format would benefit as many as it could.
