Getting back to the competition (and away from this other nonsense), what did you guys think about the team of five who beat the team of 28 for first place??   I was happy for the small team (Cheer Xperience), but to be fair it's much easier to be clean with one stunt group, you know???   IMO they should never have been competing against each other to begin with.  But congrats to Cheer Xperience for pulling it off.

Two long (very long) but entertaining days.  Saw some great talent and creative routines.   Congrats to all of you who did your best out there today!!

NOR CAL

just want to clear a few things up that have been asked or said on the message board and clear up any confusion.

1. i would like to say on behalf of our whole organization thank you to all who supported us this weekend, and a big thanks to cf! the staff and athletes here at nor cal appreciate it.

2. nor cals team names are a nor cal "thing" not a "roy thing". while we do appreciate everything roy has done for the program in the past we are still nor cal  and will remain nor cal no matter who the coaches are.

3. for the comment asking about how the sister teams feel now, cf and nce have always supported eachother no matter the outcome of the competition and still do.

4.  Finally no there is no 20 year old on any one of nor cals teams. i know this for a fact because i am the guy everyone is questioning. my name is john and i am a coach as well as participant on nor cal elites coed level 4 and coed level 5 team. this is my last year i make the age cut off to be on the senior teams and no i am not 20 i am 19 years old born on september 15 1989 and make the age cut off by a few months. if you have any questions or suspicions that i am an inelligable member feel free to walk up to me and ask to see my license ill have no problem showing you, and it would probably be a lot more effeicient then getting your information through the grape vine or through a message board or even my myspace.

any more questions or comments needing answering feel free to contact me or any other nce staff member at our gym

Me too...lots of energy and prety clean both days. The girls looked like they were having fun too, love that. I thought the same thing about NCE's teams...looked like they were having a great time!

I think there was some very obvious error in judgement by the judges. I'm not saying that some didn't deserve their placement but there was some blattent miss steps. If I never go to another american masterpiece as long as I live.

I think it is really hard as a parent of a cheerleader.  Your son or daugther does their job the best they can and they dont get recognized for it.  How do you explain to them why they lost?  I know our coaches educate us about what the judges want and they tell us what we might lack depending on the competition.  I feel that other programs get told what they want to hear.  That the company doesnt like their style or that other teams cheated.  Maybe the teams that won had solid skills, maybe they touched, who knows.  No one can ever always win.

NCE's athletes did a great job and looked like they were having a blast.  They looked like one big happy family to me.   Probably not what the bashers want to hear, but you might have to find drama somewhere else.

Power did awesome as always.   I love watching Cheer Odyssey's routines, and Athletic Perfection's routines were super clean as always.  Some of the small gyms you don't hear much about had memorable parts in their routine, like the moonwalk in the Gymstar's dance?   Very cute!
