I would also like to extend a HUGE congrats out to all of the Cheergyms teams! I can honestly say I have never been so proud to be a part of a youth organization as I was this weekend. I have been involved with youth baseball and three different cheerleading programs over the past 17 years and never have I felt so proud to be associated with an organization as I was this weekend! Even though my daughter was not able to be on stage with her team I was just as excited and nervous for that group of girls on Junior Intermediate as I am when she is. You girls were so awesome and to not only win but also be Grand Champions was amazing! I know Vanessa can't wait to get back in the swing asap and I hope she will soon. Thank you soooo much to Kelleigh Ives for stepping in for Vanessa when most of your squad was on Senior Int. I know Vanessa and I really appreciate it! Speaking of Senior Int., I can't say enough about how you girls rallied together and all of the Small Seniors coming on with one practice and looking like you have been there all along! It was truely inspiring to watch, and each of you definately earned those jackets! JPI was awesome to watch too! You girls amaze me every competition! Keep it up! I was so impressed with the way all of the gyms rallied for one another, it was so great to see the two side sections empty down to the floor when a Cheergyms team was up next. You guys were ready before the teams were announced and I firmly believe that it made a difference in our performances and our outcomes. Has Cheergyms as a whole ever done better than this? This being our first year with Cheergyms I am not sure. Everyone keep up the great work and the positive attitudes and the last two competitions will be as great as this one! Lastly, Morton, Danny and Derick, you guys had the tough decisions to make and I think you did what you had to do for the good of the program and I think this weekend was proof of that. All of our kids will learn life lessons and be better because of it whether they were involved or not. Keep running a great program because we are here to stay!
Laurie, Thanks so much for all of your support, too. Vanessa's been hobbling around for weeks now but you are always there, making sure she's with the team and being there with all of us other moms to cheer the girls on. Vanessa's a great kid and always a pleasure to be around. I know the girls can't wait to have her back to her usual tumbling self! Stacy
