Was I dreaming or did I hear they are going to let junior levels compete at World's? Also I am new and do cheerleaders or teams need to be certified at a certain level this year. Does that happen every year? What if cheerleaders gain a skill, can they be added to other teams during the year or do they have to stay on the same team. Sorry! Lots of questions, but like I said-I am brand new! Go easy on me
juniors have been able to compete at worlds the past 2 years and the team not the cheerleader has to be level 5. You can only have a bhs and still compete at worlds if your on a level 5 team.

Is that the case this year? I know in years past a cheerleader had to qualify as a level five cheerleader in at least one of three sections. Has that changed?

Beyond the credentialing Issue (which is a discussion in and of itself) you could have a child on a World's team returning from injury. They may have been released for certain things but not for tumbling. Do you chance re injury if a child has not had the chance to get back conditioned and relearn muscle memory, even if it is World's? A child's tumbling may be inconsistent so the coaches decide rather than take a sure deduction on form or busts by having them throw it, to remove it, thereby causing fans to speculate if they really have it.

I wasn't directly involved in the process; however, from the stories I've heard I get this.

I'm not sure I'm following you here. Are you saying that by getting rid of the qualification, it allows the injured cheerleader to water down their tumbling when in years past that same cheerleader wouldn't be able to?

Sorry I was unclear. Regardless of the qualification, a gym could choose not tumble a child who had previously been injured. That would/could give the appearnce to some they could not do certain skills when in reality they were coming back from injury.

Oh! I think I get cha. You were responding to the poster who stated their friend who couldn't do a bhs was on a World's team. Sorry, I thought you were adding details to why USASF would get rid of the qualification process.

That's it. I have thoughts as to why USASF would get rid of the qualification process to, but I will pm them to you if you want. I was around when they did the same thing in the gymnastics world so there are some definite similar things going on.
