When I first started visiting this board it was SO active. There were the "regulars" who always came on here (yes, like the Fashion Police) and at least 5 or 6 others (prob more) who we'd all see post on a daily basis. Where'd everybody go? Are they not a part of the cheer world any more or is everyone (except me and you) too busy to pariticipate any more?
Speaking for myself, maybe some regulars don't bother logging in and just post anonymously. Also I think once competitions start it will pick up, right now gyms are still forming teams, taking new members.
MAY-Boards are generally quiet. The tryout hype has died down
JUNE-Still quiet with random idiotic post's just for fun
JULY/AUGUST/SEPTEMBER-Teams are learning choreography. At this time you will start getting wind of what some teams are packing. (Full squad ?)
OCTOBER/NOVEMBER-Some gyms will have competed. There will be the usual (Hey you guy's did good,You'll be good once you clean.yada yada yada)
DECEMBER-The gloves are off ! This is when we head into the first bid competition. AKA "Let the flaming begin"
JANUARY/FEBRUARY- It just goes down hill from here (The Flaming)
MARCH-The usual flames but now everybody is excited for worlds. Some talk of "Let's get together and meet" Some gyms/squads go into hybernation to prepare for worlds. By now many just want the season to end. Tryout hype begins for example: Our gym has 1000 new level 10 cheerleaders and so on.
APRIL-Worlds The board buzzes with post's about:
Who won. Who lost. Who only won because team x had a stunt fall. Who won because of bias judges. Who had no business being there period. BASH BASH BASH FLAME FLAME FLAME YADA YADA YADA. The tryout frenzy begins. unethical recruiting tactics. My gym is better then your's. Bitter parent's leaving gyms causing utter chaos on the boards. Parent's defending their gym against bitter parents that left the gym causing utter chaos on the boards.

It's summer and the boards get really slow. Wait until comp season starts it will pick up again. I think a lot of the same people still sign on, but most don't log in any more. This past season these boards went thru a period of being really negative. Some gyms requested that thier parents and cheerleaders quit posting. It got a little to personal with some of the comments being made about certain gyms, and some nasty comments about certain individuals. I know thats when I stopped logging in. I still lurk and like to read, but choose to remain anonymous. I still love reading the messages but If I choose to respond it does not reflect on my gym.
Nosebag hit it right out of the park! I know personally I am very tied up right now with opening a new location, open gym and things of that nature. Plus since I am on the East Coast i only try to post to threads that are applicable there or here. So I have no clue about what is going on in California so couldn't speak to it. But industry things that I may be aware of are different. But I still check in though!
