Yes, they only had 1 team I believe last year.
I think they are more of a dance studio.
you can watch part of their performance here:

Huh, I haven't heard of them, and it looks like they've been around since 2006-2007 year.

Exactly.   Guessing at least one of the three statements made is true.  Nothing wrong with the post, but probably should have said "or" instead of "and".   So sue me.   smile.gif

If your a teenager your very rude, if your an adult you should know better.  There are kids who log on and post on these boards.  A little patience and understanding goes a long way.

You really need to lighten up.    If you think that was rude, you are in for a long long season on this board

Most people from Tracy would know where Richmond is since Direct TV and dish provide bay area stations to Tracy.

If you really don't know where Richomond is, honey you aren't missing anything, your very lucky not to have to grow up in such a dangerous enviroment.

I too didn't think the comment was rude, my kids know of Richmond simply because I will never allow them to go there EVER!

Sadly, there are parts of Richmond you want to avoid.   But I don't think it's as bad as it has been in the past, especially compared to parts of Oakland.  But a variety of sports would be just what some areas need to help turn things around, keep youth occupied, give them something to build their confidence at an early age, you know?

Yes true Richmond is like living in Oakland.  Tracy is getting to the same point.  Please please do not open a cheergym in any of these towns.  We do not need to see cheerleading intergrated with step dancing and that shabua roll call stuff in it.  Yes I did say it.  Look at what its done to the high school cheerleading programs of the towns.  Step is step... nasty dancing is not apart of cheerleading.

Yes, let's look at how high school cheerleading and dancing has evolved.  I would say for the better... it's much more exciting.  And what you call "nasty dance" is just a style of dancing you happen to dislike, you are entitled to your opinion.  But it's changing whether you like it or not, and it has nothing to do with the areas the gyms are located in, look around you.

While you are entitled to your point of view, I have to say how incredibly selfish of you to think that gyms opening in areas where children can benefit most would be a bad thing.  I would say anything that gives our youth an activity that builds their confidence should be welcomed and supported.

I agree anything to support youth in these areas gives them something to do.

Based on assumption, i am going to address this to the ten year old APLover.
The subject is geography, it is something that you should be learning in school, unless schools have changed that much in the last bunch of years. Since a lot of schools don`t have those old pull down maps in the classroom anymore, we in the modern age have been gifted with a magic window to the world, called a computer. When you want to know where someplace is, use your yahoo or google maps, and type in the name of the place that you are curious about, and the map search will bring it to you. Ask your mom for help if you are unsure of how to navigate or use the computer. If you wish to know your approximate direction, in the morning, when you stand outside, if the sunshine touches you on your right side, you are facing north. your right arm is then facing east, your back is facing south, and your left arm is facing west. Next time you get a chance to go to the library, ask to see a world atlas. In it you will find good old fashioned maps of all the countrys on this world. Learn all that you can from these maps, and question your teacher and your parents. One day when you are older, you will have the whole world at your hands, with the knowledge that you have obtained through geography.

Tracy is south/southwest of Sacramento. A nice city with friendly people. It is located in the crossroads of I-5, I-580 and I-99. Up until the building boom of 1996, it was a fairly small but nice city, with an old HS, and then in 1995, a new HS. It was a farming community for many years. and up until 1973, before Interstate 5 was completed, it was accessed through old highway 50, now 580, and highway 99, and from the delta by highway 4.

Like so many areas/cities in the bay area, around the bay, most of the cities/towns  were fishing and shipping ports back in the 1800s and early 1900s. Richmond was one of those cities, and now the city is trying to bring back and recover to its former days when life was more harmonious for its citizens. It is just going to be a long process to get that done. Richmond is located on the "north"side of San Francisco bay.

Anyplace, city or town, if sporting or other facilities can be instituted to benefit children, is a boon to that area. Children and their physical health and welfare should be just as important to a community as a theater for adults or  a new road. I don`t care for some dances, however, living in a democratic form of government, freedom of expression is still accorded by the Constitution, whether the dance is the charleston, boogaloo, frug, hully gully, jazz, macarena, tango, or bump and grind. However you are also allowed your opinion.

I thought it sad, that the person who answered this young one , started off with "1. you must be young." You could have been helpful with your explanation, instead of demeaning. I guess I should bite my lip and not say that you would not make a good teacher, I feel for your own. What confusing answers they must get from you. Did you flunk geography?

The post actually was just guessing it was one of the three choices, whereas you either know it's a ten year old or you are assuming.  Either way, I think it's a good lesson for all not to simply post that they don't know something, to try to find out on their own first, then ask later.  It's a good life lesson.  Sometimes the best teachers are those who make students work to get the answers they need, I didn't find it demeaning at all.  Sadly you're reading too much into the post and making rather insulting assumptions at that.
