I agree it would be great if they moved it around. But I don't think Top Gun has a home field advantage. They would have won anywhere.

I do think that crowd noise plays a factor (regardless of how little or how much). So, it would seem fair to rotate worlds. That way the midwest teams or the western teams would be able to benefit from having more fans there on any given year. Also, it would help offset travel....

Exactly. I did say they would be awesome anywhere because they are sooo amazing, but they sure have it sweet not having to travel like everyone else, plus having all the home fans there. Why not mix it up, move it somewhere else for a change?? Have other teams deal with different time zones and travelling.....

it was brought up as an idea to me that would be interesting once it got bigger internationally but wouldnt it be kind of cool to have it switch between disney parks?

not only america but disney world in orlando, disney land in anaheim, and the disney parks in i THINK its france and japan? i cant remember if its japan or china but between those 4 parks i think itd be kinda crazy if it were switched between those in some years

I don't think that is realistic as cheer is really an American Sport and sending teams abroad would be an exorbitant cost for the companies that give out bids and the teams alone. I think it's amazing that these International teams come here for Worlds, but the majority of the teams are U.S. based.

This actually was the original idea. Might still happen, but USASF has to get a "foundation" before it will.

I don't think home field advantage or local fans had a play into Top Gun's crowd support. The crowd that was cheering to where you couldn't even hear the music for Top Gun was all their peers from around the country and world cheering them on for the production that they are known to put on year after year.

i think that is a very good point. and crowd noise does play a factor. if you've ever been to a competition where no one was in front of the floor vs one where your whole program is in front of the floor, you would agree. it makes a difference. i dont like it when comps dont allow ppl right in front of the floor. cuz that's usually who i play off of.

anyways, i think changing locations would be a good idea. its not like there arent places they could do it. atlanta, chicago, anaheim, dallas, vegas, ect...

plus, its not like the milkhouse is that great of a venue. especially with the numbers at worlds going up.

Miami is not the same thing as Orlando. It would be saying that all California teams have an advantage competing in Anaheim. People just LOVE Top gun, period, final. Yes other teams may come close to their skill, but they perform and the crowd just loves it.

Yeah, I don't see why it should always be at the same venue; it doesn't seem fair to all those who have to travel, especially with the cost of everything these days. I was trying to think of another sport whose final is year after year at the same venue (superbowl, world series, final four, you name it...) and I can't think of one.

I think having it near a theme park or something fun is good because not everyone wants to stay at the competition all day. I did last year but this year only went to finals. The majority of kids and parents want something to do other than the event. All those other sports you mentioned only have a few teams involved. Worlds involves thousands of cheerleaders so you need to occupy the time they aren't doing anything.

I mean, Orlando is way better! The weather, The park, everything.

I think it's a wonderful idea. California has plenty to offer. And come on, is there really that much of a difference between Disneyland and DisneyWorld? But the point isn't about comparing amusement parks, it's about moving the venue to allow others the lovely experience of travelling across country, dealing with expensive flights and time zone changes. If there are other venues out there that can host, there really isn't a reason to keep it in the same place year after year.

Worlds should be held in Disney World. It's Worlds. It's huge. But other florida competitions such as UCA and NCA can be moved around. There's a disneyland in California. Why not there? It's a lot of money to cheer, and on top of that the price for traveling to florida. Especially for the teams on the west.
