Alameda High School is searching for a Varsity Cheerleading Coach for the 08-09 season. Our current Varsity coach is moving out of state. This cheerleading program is well-known and appreciated within its community. We always get a great bunch of kids trying out every year.
This squad cheers for Varsity Football (September-November) and Varsity Mens and Womens Basketball (January-March), traveling only to away football games. This squad practices athletic cheerleading involving stunting, strength training and appropriate safety measures. This squad cheers in school pep rallies, at school assemblies and at Varsity games. This squad also performs half time routines at all Varsity home football and basketball games. This squad currently practices three times per week in addition to attending games.

This is not a full-time job, but the program remains in operation year-round. A small stipend will be paid to the coach at the end of each sports season. Those who have coached before will know: one does not coach for the money.
